Honestly, it's better than Cagayan when Tony got it at the auction. You actually have to either find two idols (which is difficult) or have strong enough bonds with other people to share it. And, it's always risky telling other people about your idol, there's so many things that can go wrong.
Tony's really didn't come into play at all. I was kind of hoping it did, but he did play it well at the end when he told the others that it could be played at the final 4.

Yea I agree, so while it's a lot of power, I'm a lot less bothered by it than other iterations of the super idol.

Also, fun fact about Tony's super idol- he was never supposed to actually find it when he did :p They hid it under a tree like literally buried under ground thinking nobody would find it until enough clues were given out, and they were going to really play up the whole drama of the mysterious idol with lots of power somewhere in the island. But then Tony being Tony got it somehow :p

To be honest, while he didn't physically play it, I think he played it to his best advantage. This is why I loved Tony's gameplay, some of the things he did were just crazy enough to make you never think he could win, but also just incredibly smart enough to make you think a) there's no way he can't win or b) he's a sociopath :p ;)

I hated Tony during the season, but he's one of the great winners IMO. He played with a difficult, competitive cast, and he was by far the best player on that season. I'd like to see him play again.

Me too. With Parvati. On a different show. :hilarious:

@JenniferS I found this one website where you can simulate seasons of Survivor and other reality shows, and you can even do custom seasons. So I decided to make a custom cast for the "Quirks vs Jerks" idea you had. :D

These are the tribes:

Quirks:
Shirin
Shambo
Dan (Worlds Apart)
Courtney Yates
Shane Power
Eliza
Keith
Debbie
Cao Boi (Cook Islands, I believe)
Coach

Jerks:
Brad Culpepper
Jason
Kass
Scot
Russell Hantz
J'Tia (Cagayan - dumping the rice out)
Abi-Maria
Sandra
James (I know he was a "Hero", but I always found him kind of arrogant)
Jonny Fairplay

Here's how the votes went, from worst to first.

20. Shirin
19. Brad Culpepper
18. Shambo
17. Dan
16. Jason
15. Kass
14. Courtney
13. Shane
12. Scot
11. Russell
10. Eliza
9. Keith
8. J'Tia
7. Debbie
6. Cao Boi
5. Abi-Maria
4. Sandra

Final Three: James, Jonny Fairplay, Coach

In third place, with 2 jury votes... James!

In second place, with 3 jury votes... Coach!

Winner of Survivor Quirks vs Jerks... Jonny Fairplay! (4 votes)

Sorry to make your dream a disappointment.

It was Brantsteel! I've spent too much time on that site... Weird observation: Parvati and Spencer either seem to be booted in the first 3, or make it to the final 3. Rarely is there any in between.

So apparently right now they are filming season 33 in the Malmanuca Islands in Fiji. It is likely they will also do 34 there for the probable all star season.
33 is also supposedly a 20 person season with all newbies, and while the theme is unknown (if there even is one), the person who posted the information thinks it might be a political divide... :p

Source once again is the infamous Redmond of insidesurvivor.com

Another fantastic episode! I don't know why this season wasn't hyped more.

But as always, let's start with the beginning. When Scot was talking to Aubry, he said "we're being the bigger people". Yeah, because the bigger people threaten others into joining them.

As for the reward challenge, it was once again very entertaining. I hope they start doing more twists with reward challenges to make them more interesting. And the immunity challenge was once again a thriller! I was cheering for Aubry, but in the end it wasn't a factor.

Tribal was once again an "on the edge of your seat" event. It was pure gold when Scot looked at Tai, and Tai looked at Jason kind of like "Haha, nice try." Tai gained a LOT of power with that move. He reestablished himself with most jury members, he kept his idol (plus the advantage), and he got rid of Scot and his idol. Now Tai is the only person in the game who has that kind of power. Of course, that could bring a target to him.

Looking at the previews for next week, it looks like Julia is going to go with Jason. I don't see how that is beneficial at all. I mean, she's clearly on the bottom of the girl + Joe alliance, but it's better to be in there than sitting with the immensely outnumbered enemy. Julia is playing a very bold game, and I don't think it can get her a win in the end. She has to be sitting with the exact right people at the end (Jason and Joe/Michelle). Which, thinking about it, might be a logical way into trying to keep Jason in the game. But that's a sinking ship right now.

I really hope they don't kill the chicken when Tai walks away. That would be one of the lowest moves in Survivor history. But I don't put it past Jason. No wonder the chicken was such a storyline throughout this season! Funny story... I was watching a recap of last week's episode from RHAP, and they were joking that the chicken was a metaphor for Tai. He's pulled to the dark side, but then the chicken appears and he switches back to the light. Then they joked, when the chicken is killed, Tai gets voted out. It would be interesting if that was true!

As for this week's power rankings...

1. Joe - No explanation needed.
2. Michelle - A non-factor at this point.
3. Cydney - She's off Jason's radar now, but she's still a good player.
4. Aubry - She is becoming a clear target, but she's in the majority alliance.
5. Tai - While he holds a lot of power, he's at the bottom of the new "alliance" right now. Plus, the power puts a HUGE target on his back.
6. Julia - She's been flaky for weeks now. She's lucky she's still here, but Aubry clearly wants her out. And remember it's Aubry who wanted Debbie and then Scot out. She's getting what she wants.
7. Jason - The obvious target. "Psychological warfare" might not work anymore. I don't see anybody wanting him enough to take him on as a "swing vote" at the final 7.

Continuing on from my comments on Jason, the final 7 is usually a huge vote because of the odd numbers and the end of the game approaching. I don't see this happening because of the bridges Jason has burned. Or, he could be the best person to bring along...

This is the order of who I think the winner will be at this point:
1. Aubry
2. Tai
3. Cydney
4. Julia
5. Michelle
6. Joe
7. Jason

But really the only ones I can see winning are Aubry, Tai and Cydney. The other 4 would be a surprise.

Great analysis! I completely agree with the winning order as well. I like the top three on that list + Julia, but to be honest Julia's kind of digging herself into a hole at this point. :p

Everyone in my family thinks I'm crazy for rooting for Jason :hilarious:

I just can't stand Aubry... Everything about just feels to me like she's trying too hard to be some big character with sassy quotes and with a hero story, and I just feel like that's the type of thing that has to come naturally. Idk, I just don't like her :p

Julia is probably my top favorite, I think she's playing a smart game, and some of her decisions might come back and cause trouble for her, but if she plays her cards right she can definitely win this season.

I'm afraid Tai killed his game with this move. Now the only way he wins the game is pulling a Mike IMO. He might be safe next week when they go for Jason/Julia, but other than that he is 100% the biggest threat out there.

Overall another fantastic episode!

And really, Aubry losing immunity was a huge benefit for her game. It ended up making Jason pass the idol over to Scot, and then they were able to flush it. I just can't believe how much power Tai has gotten from this move. Look at the opposite... had he stuck with Jason and Scot, both idols would be gone, no guarantee they have the numbers on their side (thought I think Julia would have flipped), and then he is completely vulnerable.

However, if Tai does make it to the final 3, he wins. That move right there completely altered the game (i.e. Kass's flip).

I think Aubry is playing the most calculated and strategic game out there. Julia is playing a strategic game, but she's really put herself in a hole. Like I said, I can't see her winning unless it's against Joe and Jason/Michelle (which it could even be a final 2). If it's a final 2, I think she has a much stronger shot. Tai definitely is the biggest threat out there, but if he plays his cards right and wins an immunity or two along the way, he can definitely make it to the end. I'm not sure he has enough Survivor in him to pull it off, but I can also see him being a swing vote if it comes down to Aubry vs Cydney. Both of those two are threats to win, and they've shown they aren't afraid to break their alliances.

Wow... What an absolutely mind-blowing tribal council. It was so satisfying when Tai refused to give Scot the idol to make the Super Idol. :p
Based on whom I have been led to believe are the Final 3, I wasn't in the least bit worried.
Again, assuming it's Michelle, Aubrey and Thai at the end, I knew that Thai was going to sorry the bullies!

Loved it. Very satisfying to see Lurch go buh-byes. I can only hope that Jason is next.
