Surprising my wife today

When I go pick her up from work we will not be going home... We are heading to Disneyworld for the weekend :). Got a good rate at Wilderness Lodge so she will enjoy the nice surprise! Lets just hope the workday goes by quickly.

Thanks! She was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis 2 yrs ago so I do a lot more than most husbands would. Everything is packed and ready to go. We love the Wilderness Lodge we were just there 3 weekends ago. It will be nice this time though as i expect to see some Christmas decorations up

A co-worker of mine was there last week and YES its all done up for Christmas. Very sorry to hear about your wife and her RA...my dad has it and I have peripheral neuropathy in both my feet so I know all your wife goes throught. :( We will at the lodge in 397 days (Christmas 2012) and I cant wait.

Yea its tough to watch her suffer through the pain. She was diagnosed at age 27 so she has it very early in her life. We have been doing a Paleo diet and it has had a tremendous impact. Thank God we have really good insurance or her medicine would cost us close to 4k a month. I love that your already counting down! We are going on a cruise(not Disney) in January and we have been counting down for close to a yr

The best of luck to you and your wife and I pray that she can keep the RA to a level that she can live as close to a normal life as possible. Like I said my dad has it along with PN (like I have, thats where i got it from) along with with other things.(very long story and not for here) and see what it all does to him and no should have to live like that. I am very glad you all are able to enjoy the WDW so often and I am sure she will be very thankful when she figures out she is not going home this afternoon. I want to hear all about the surprise next week when you all get home!!!!

I am very sorry that your wife has RA, very good friend of mune had RA on top of slepp apnea (very big guy) and was on experimental meds for this, I knew when he was not wearing his cpap machine when I would recieve e-mail from him when it was time stamped at weird times of the night, so I had to call him to get him to wear it for some rest! I do hope you guys have a great weekend, we will be on our first visit to WL in just a few days and looking forward to it!

Thanks everyone! She is a very hard working RN. She works in the operating room here in Tampa and easily puts in 50 hours a week. She deserves to be taken on special trips and thats one of the biggest reasons we go to Disney 15+ times a year.

I was just at the WL from 11/11-11/15 and when we got there none of the decorations were up :( but when we woke up on the morning of the 14th, the whole resort had transformed ovenight and the tree was up and all the garland. So you will see the decorations!! Have a great time!! :)

Thanks for the info. I know their is no Gingerbread house at WL, but we love how they decorate the resort. It is by far our favorite Christmas resort.

Good for YOU Mister Good Hubby of the year!!! So she doesn't even know you are going for the weekend??? She must get off work for it. How fun and take care of her.. You will be rewarded for all your goodness one day and we all want to hear about that..I will be there in 64 days and didn't think I would ever get to go again. My husband almost died twice in August with Renal Failure only has one kidney didn't even know that till then. So we hope this will be a great one for him as hes been thru so much pain and still is.. She is in my prayers and you two have a wonderful holiday weekend..

I am sorry to hear about your husband and I hope your trip brings complete happiness to him and the rest of your family. She has no idea we are going this weekend :). She is on call for weekends but i worked it out with her manager that they take her call away this weekend.
