Yeah, sure. And I'm the Prime Minister of Algeria! And you were so convinced it's the "political side of people" coming out? Eh? How do you apply that to a nonpartisan person? I'm waiting for a response that's actually logical and reasonable, based in science and data, not clearly fueled by emotion and partisanship.
It absolutely is your political (and childish) side coming out. You’re waiting for logical, reasonable, and unemotional responses, yet you’ve been the exact opposite of that.

You know, you’re absolutely right. Since I’ve been a member, this is the most miserable this board has been.

So the t-shirts are still on then. Sweet.

Everything will be fine. We all work it out it over a Turkey leg and a ride on Web Slingers. I can see us all now skipping through DCA, passing one Turkey leg back and forth as we all take bites.

I’m a very extroverted person and normally would have possibly considered sharing food with online friends, but since COVID-19, germs disgust me more than ever lol.

In all honesty, I was planning the trip with all intentions of talking s*it about Marvel. I’m still hoping for that, but I of course would like to bond over what we love about the parks, too.

I agree. Not about the sharing food but everything else lol. I was just trying to pick two weird things to go together. Web Slingers and a Turkey leg

The R number is what was touted in some of the meetings Mayor Garcetti had early on. The R number references to the infection rate, basically how many people are getting infected by one person that has it.

The objective locally is to get that R0 down below 1.0 as that means less people getting infected. Any rate above 1.0 means more infected by one person. LA County throughout last summer did decent in keeping it below 1.0 but then the surges happened afterwards and the rest is history.

By bringing it down, you'll see a reduction of cases which in turn reduces hospitalization

I checked the state website and unfortunately it appears that County R0s aren't viewable when you go over to a county

Thank you, I appreciate that explanation. Although it was like I figured, and it involved math, which took me right back to 11th grade algebra and my brain automatically shut down because I hate math. But I honestly appreciate the info! :)

Well, that's interesting. Although that pesky lawsuit filed last week in Napa County isn't going to help much, because the suit specifically takes Governor Newsom and his administration to court and forces them to prove that outdoor dining spreads Covid. So they'll need to produce their Science & Data they used to close outdoor dining, and let's just hope the judge isn't as stupid as the Newsom administration thinks the rest of California is.

I said it last week, but this Napa County lawsuit that sues the State instead of one particular county will be very interesting to watch play out! Science & Data!

It is being reported that Newsom will be lifting the stay at home order today

How is that even possible?!?

The state website tonight still shows that the SoCal Region ICU capacity is still at 0.0% as of 1/20/21, where it has been stuck for weeks now. Although that 0.0% is the magical "Adjusted" number, and the actual Science & Data unadjusted number for OC is currently 9.2% (the unadjusted number for OC has been in the 9% to 10% range for the past month, but the magical "Adjusted" number is always 0.0% for ICU Capacity, which means the OC hospitals are performing appendectomies and delivering babies out in the parking lot).

To make all that go away, Governor Newsom must be going to do a major Song N' Dance Routine at his Noon presser and walk back all his previous Science & Data and declare the 0.0% Adjusted ICU Capacity for Socal Region to be A-Okay!

How could Newsom go back on his word like this? Has the Science changed, or did they find some surprise Data under someone's Sacramento desk over the weekend? Gosh... what could be going on in Sacramento that would cause such an about face by Governor Newsom on all that Science & Data?

Not to get too political but many people wondered if things would loosen up after the election. There certainly doesn’t appear to be any significant medical/science reason for this change. Sadly, this doesn’t help Big Bear where I am right now. We received probably 6-8 inches of snow last night, not exactly prime outdoor dining weather. Of course, several restaurants up here have chose to ignore the order and are allowing indoor dining.
