Tell that to my sister. Within 48 hours of move-in day, she's made about 20 new friends, not even including her dorm. :lol:

(Though I'll agree from the opposite end of the situation about it happening so fast. :()

EDIT: Someone mentioned laser-eye surgery a page back or so. Quick question: Why do they say, "Only $___ per eye"? Is someone not getting the full package here?! :lookaroun :lol:

I definitely wasn't patient at her age either. It's definitely an age thing. (athough my patience now isn't for long. :lol: )

And I hope I can eventually help her. Sometimes it's hard talking to mom about things...but she can talk to her cool "aunt" who's close in age. I had lots of cool "aunts" all throughout middle school and high school. They were all people who worked for my mom and dad...and always in their 20s. It would be good to be able to give a bit back. :D

No, through me...she wants to desperately be on here, but if I let her, she'd never leave. And I'm in no hurry to have get into all of that stuff. She's still too trusting - don't misunderstand. I have no fear here on this forum, but she doesn't have the maturity yet to discern what is OK and what isn't. :shrug:

Oh, I totally understand. That's why only you all know my real name. I'm definitely not too trusting about people on the internet...and I learned that at an early age. (Although, i've been online in some way or another since the late 80s. I had a pen pal when I was close to Abby's age from off the internet.) And that's why I thought it would be so great for her to hear from me. I'm someone her mom trusts...but also someone who's "cool" enough to hang with a 10 year old. :D

Yeah, I'll send her a PM through you. That's what I figured, but I just wanted to double check. :D

Oh, I have no worries about making new friends :lol: I just have worries about leaving the old ones behind :(
