Hey y'all. I stayed up unitl 6:30 this morning reading HP. I've about 200 pages to go but I don't want to start reading again until I can be sure of no interruptions.

Yep...I cried. My mom, who has never read even one of the books, keeps asking me what's happening...and I told her about the part where I cried and she was like "who cares?' She's looking for the "major" stuff, I guess.

Yea, you know? But she's basically a news junkie, and on hot topics she goes to her most well informed sources on said topic.
BTW, she pulled a major spoiler on me...when the book came out, before I had my copy, she asked me "who dies" in the new HP. I said I didn't know and I didn't want to know, as naturally I wanted to find out for myself. So she asked me how to find out and I told her to Google "Deathly Hallows spoiler" and since we were on the phone at the time, she does it and blurts out the first link she sees...I was sooooo mad.

However, I rather imagine mom wil stay with me until the bitter end...perhaps I can just torture her with her indiscretion while she lives in the back bedroom.
Odd fact - I've only seen the first two HP movies...I've never felt the need to see the others. Have you seen them all?

Okay...I feel like there is something I'm supposed to remember about August...but I can't put my finger on it. I specifically remembered it today, it's like an annual thing, and I simply cannot remember. :brick:

Between posts I am reading a most interesting book..."Crazies to the Left of Me, Wimps to the Right" by Bernard Goldberg. I suppose I should stop reading stuff that is so in line with my own personal world view...I just don't know where to start with the alternatives.
