Suiting Up for Spring with Magic Friends

I'm currently reading Half-Blood Prince, getting ready for the film this summer :sohappy::sohappy:
FYI: for all HP fans, saw some news over on Mugglenet. Sounds like Dobby will definitely be in Deathly Hallows, and they've also cast someone as Bill Weasley. So I'm wondering if they will bring Fleur back after all...I had heard originally it wasn't going to happen.

And one more Twilight tidbit - the DVD sold 3 million copies the first DAY.

I wish HBP would have come out in Nov when it was originally supposed to.

We actually watched Twilight on demand. I was surprised that it was available on demand the same day as the dvd was released.

Yeah.... :o

Pretty nervous...

I realllllllllly could use it.

They only selected three candidates to invterview... and the pay raise would likely be like... (after my 15% paycut this is, so according to what I make NOW) roughly... $14,000.

Ummmm... I could realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly use that...

That's great Joe!!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed.

*fangirl moment*

Loved when Emmett and Edward jumped up and hit one another, w/ lightning in the background. And Jasper.....heehee....loved the guy that played him.

*fangirl moment over*

:o

:D I really like Jasper's character. When we saw the movie at midnight, I said [like a 13 year-old girl] "OMG Jasper!" I am still getting made fun of for that. :ROFLOL:

Chrissy, do you have a Crock Pot? That could be something to consider. Not for freezing, but you can make some very low-effort meals in those. Just toss the ingredients in there and let it cook all day.

I do have one, and actually I think I have a crock pot cookbook somewhere. I'll have to look for that.

Anybody have any good ideas for meals that freeze well? I want to start freezing some things for easy meals after baby arrives. It would be even better if the meal could do double duty....eat some now and still have enough left to freeze.

So far I know I'll be doing baked ziti and tortilla soup.

Pasta is always a good idea...italian or even chicken casserole. Also buy some of those steamfresh frozen veggies you can microwave-steam.

If you guys like muffins you could always bake some and freeze for future breakfasts.

If you plan to nurse, watch the spicy stuff though. :)

I love those steamfresh veggies. I also have the Ziploc seal and steam bags that you can pretty much make a whole meal in. So easy!

I like the muffin idea. I could probably do some pancakes too.

Spicy food doesn't work for me now, and for some reason fresh garlic also really bothers me.

I've never tried that. Believe me it gets a lot more challenging to cook, period, after you have kiddos. I'd love to be a cook from scratch kinda gal, but I really don't have the time anymore. So I'm looking for shortcuts wherever I can.

They are great. They come in all different sizes and they have meal ideas in them. I usually use them for fresh veggies (sometimes with italian dressing), but one time I did bite sized buffalo chicken pieces. Definetly a nice short cut and very easy clean up.

I'm with you Joe. Twilight doesn't interest me at all, plus that Rob Pattinson guy looks like a real vampire :hurl:, I don't know what the big deal about him is :lookaroun. I guess its a chick thing  . Maybe I'll see it one day.
