Fortunately, I never do laundry while at WDW, so will miss an opportunity to see the washer in person. The mental image I have is quite enough, though! I'm not sure I could survive visiting the "scene of the crime!" ;)

Are we getting off the subject?

One time I decided to visit the Magic Kingdom after the noon arrival in Orlando by airplane. I didn't want to go on any rides but to take my time by meeting the characters and shopping (Christmas shopping that is!:D ). I stopped by the cart by the stairway to get to the Walt Disney World Railroad. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a small kid sneak a pen or two into his pocket. I notified the cashier and he called security. I jumped because it didn't take them long to get there. As they were trying to get back the pens, the mother stormed toward the security guards and was yelling at them in spanish. I didn't see how it turned out but I bet they got kicked out. How stupid they are!

Your story made me wonder about the amount of shoplifting that goes on a WDW. How does it compare with other stores nationally? (or even in the Orlando area?) And are people usually caught? (I mean do they have a lot of "lost" merchandise that is never accounted for?) Any of you WDW "insiders" know? Hint Hint MrPromey. ;)

From what I see and hear at work we don't have many shoplifters but the ones we do have are caught like I think 99% of the time. Security is so good sometimes innocent people are accused of stealing. One time a woman bought an inncorrect size shirt returned it to the cashier and she said to just go get one off the rack and not to worry about it. Well security was watching and as she walked out of the store they assumed she was shoplifting. Once she explained the situation and the CM confirmed it I think she got the shirt and a couple of other goddies for free.

I once saw this girl wear these high heel sandals. On the tram to the parking lot she looked so misreable. As soon as they got to her parking lot she carefully got out of the tram, and inched her way to her car. Her feet were red. It was hilarious!!

I would say that burn my 23 month old son on the arm with a lit cigarette was pretty stupid! We were waiting for a parade - but it was OK, "It was an accident"!!!!!! That makes it right doesn't it? NOT!!
