A few years ago, I would have been right there with you! Unfortunately, I have since caught the bug. Being that I don't buy leather, though, shoes are rarely expensive for me :D

Ha! Once in the Florida Mall, my sister bought a pair of platform shoes at Bakers for about $30. We walked a bit more and found the exact same model in the Payless Shoe Source version.... she bought the pair again for $12 this time, and went back to Bakers to return the other one! That can only be done in the US... here, it wouldn´t be that easy... :animwink:

Gotta love Payless! :D

Nope! I have two pairs of tennis shoes, incase one gets wet. A dress black pair, and white pair, 3 "clear" shoes from prom/miss stevensville pagent, marching band shoes, and a pair of flip flops.

However....my two friends absolutly LOVE shoes....and they do match outfits to go with shoes. When we go shopping, I'm the one who sits while they pick out their clothes. Gotta Love the boys.

Matching Clothes

What I hate is when my grey Disney shorts are not the same shade of grey as my Disney Tshirt. It drives me nuts. I think Disney needs to make sure that all color shades match.:hammer:

SHOES!! SHOES!! SHOES!!!

Oh, I LOVE shoes!

I have..ah..lets see...about 10 pair of flip flop style shoes, with varying thickness soles, from $5 boardwalk cheapies to $$$ beaded Kenneth Coles, 2 pair of high heel slides, black and brown (found $98 Laurens for $25 on sale!), 1 pair of low black slides that I hate, 3 pair of high heeled boots in black, camel and black suede, about a dozen pair of pumps in varying colors (left overs from the corporate days, but some I actually DO wear!), reebock high tops, 3 or 4 different pair of Keds, my fave Steve Madden leather sneakers with a sparkley American flag on them...oh, the list goes on and on. Oh, lets not forget the piece de resistance of my, ahem, collection :lookaroun silk Gucci dress pumps with a rhinestone clip that I have worn a grand total of TWICE

My words to live by...if its shoes or Disney, DO NOT throw it out

I'm not into them either. I used to be and had tons of shoes. However, when I first married, I wore a size 7.5. After 2 children, I wear a size 10, and my ankles look like they are perpetually sprained. I'm afraid that if I wear the big clunky ones, that I will sprain an ankle again. So I am now very simple: One pair of black Rykas, one white Rykas, my black Rockport pumps (that I got for $4.99), and a pair of slide on sandles/clogs (whatever they are called-only the back of the foot is exposed)

But..but...but...you NEED different shoes for different outfits and different looks to those different outfits, as well as for your different moods!!

Its not unusual for me to wear 2-3 DIFFERENT pair of shoes a day! :lookaroun

How true! I hate it when I order things from a catalog in the same color, but the shades are off when they arrive. I'm short, so sometimes I like to have the same color head to toe, with only a scarf or necklace to break it up. I hate it when the color of the top is "off" just a little. I know others probably don't notice, but I do!

And since this thread has taken a turn to include ALL things related to fashion, how many of you can "smell" silk? I have found lovely (and expensive) silk knit sweaters, etc that I loved but didn't buy because they smelled awful. :hurl:

There might not be much left; my helper and I have already hit them, for some Christmas shopping! We bought all of the gold wire baskets (with some green and red beads on) and some of the small buckets to make teacher gifts, and the Christmas tins to make goodies to give to our customers. If you don't get the seasonal stuff as soon as it comes out; it's gone. This early bird was definitely getting the worm.:D

We're (my next door neighbor and I) such "frequent flyers" that the clerks will hide things for us. Last time in, they gave me lots of Big Lots promotional stuff.
Whenever we walk in, we hear a chorus of "It must be Sunday!" It's really strange when our respective spouses (his wife, my husband) come along...for the longest time, they thought we were married to each other, and that my kids were his. (Sometimes he takes my daughter or son along if I can't go.)
