LMAO! I just picture the dog´s face while he does that! (or maybe it is already expecting it every time!)

Well, as long as it works. I myself am probably as far from a "typical" female you can find...1 pair of sneakers, 1 pair black shoes, 1 white, 1 Pair of sandles. Thats it. I own 1 dress...all occasion. 2 pairs of "good" pants and I live in jeans and tees.
My husband has more clothes than I do and he wears a uniform at work.

Amen to that! I have 1 pair of work shoes, sandles, sneakers, and dress shoes. I just don't find shoes that interesting I guess, now my bf, on the other hand has *alot* more shoes than I. Go figure!

I, on the other hand, have earned the nickname "IMELDA" at home. And, admittedly, its well deserved :hammer:

She is a black lab/friendly stranger (think its beagle). Her name is midnight and she will be 10 next month. She is very friendly and loves kids who will play fetch with a pine cone.

Well, Imelda lives here ...she goes by the name of Katie. The girl loves shoes...they can be found all around the house. Clothes wise...jeans, tees and sweatshirts. Had to force her to buy a skirt...a jeans one at that (and she hasn't worn it yet!!!!!)

I don't need that many shoes...I only wear them when I go out.

I AM THE QUEEN OF SHOES! lol

I have hmm lets see: a pair of Vans (filthy as skate shoes should be) Converse ones (still pretty clean) Sneakers (dirty but not bad) 4 pairs of black shoes ranging from ones with 5 inch heels to the slip on ones, those "bowling" shoes and penny loafers with small heels. Then I have 5 inch dress sandles and those thin flip flops!

Ok, I'm late as usual. I take my laces out and wash them in bleach and I use fantastic on the leather sneakers. Canvas gets bleach.

Woody, my husband is too cheap to do that.

I'm not even going to count mine! I have at least 10 pairs of sports type (including navy, black, and beige walking shoes), around 10 pair of sandals in different colors, several (around 10) pair of "flats" in various colors, 5 or so pair of beach shoes, at least 5 pair of black pumps in different heights, 2 pair of black pant shoes, 2-3 pair navy, 2 pair beige, 1 pair red, 1 pair grey, 1 pair white...and several pair of formal shoes. Oh, and I also have a pair of snow boots and apres ski boots. (I usually rent my ski boots)

Believe it or not, I just cleaned out my closet and got rid rid of a box of shoes...I only saved the shoes I really wear.

However, my husband has TWICE as many pair of sports shoes, and also multiple pairs of dress and loafer type shoes. Not that he wears them all, he just never gets rid of any.

With the kids...the dirtier the better.

I'm from the "old school." I had to wear those old lady type oxford nursing shoes with white support hose. But they had to be polished. ;) (We also lost points if the instructor noticed that we weren't wearing a girdle. ) And if our hair touched our collar. Or if we were wearing any jewelry other than a class ring, engagement ring, wedding band (a few years earlier, students weren't allowed to be married) and small pearl or plain gold "stud" earrings. We had to wear dresses (pants suits came out a few years later) and only navy or white sweaters while on duty. It goes without saying, caps were also worn! (I had a cute muffin shaped one, similar to a French maid! Ooh la la!!)

Mom, you sound like me! Add to that 4 pairs of boots and two other semi-boots -and I live in the tropics!
Although I own more red shoes and sandals... :D

I am thinking of a cool way to organize them because it is a pain taking them out of the closet placed under my hung clothes, so I have a very cool design in mind to take them out of the closet and put them in the dresser. :animwink:

Imeldas!! I think I have counted 4 in this thread so far!

Our rules were quite similar...no jewelry except small earings, wedding rings and watches. We had dress uniforms...a horrible shade of blue (guys had white pants and a blue top) and those shoes had better be white! I hated my cap...pointed with wrap around wings! Can't tell you how many privacy curtains I got caught on! Do they even make caps anymore?

There it is...#7014

Next time your husband laughs at you for washing your shoelaces just tell him he's right. Then tell him that you're going to go out and spend HIS MONEY for new shoelaces! :D
