PLEASE! They arent coming back, and you're still going to WDW. Anyone who says they wont go because they took away pretty arches of dancing light is full of it! Yeah they were cool, but move on already!:hammer:

No I havent read all the posts about it, (the 3000 that are existent) and I honestly think people should have better things to do! Fictional Examples of threads that are probable in the next 30 minutes.

Holiday Decorations are up at DHS... (Still no LOW at Epcot)
New food items at Ohana...(Still no LOW at Epcot)
Booked our September trip!...(Still no LOW at Epcot)
Bathroom refurbishment photos..(Still no LOW at Epcot)
*I still wonder about those posts
WDW LOW Picture of the day...

WHEN WILL IT STOP!

Ok, and begin the flaming in 3, 2, 1.... GO!

This is a discussion board and people are allowed to express their opinion be it positive or negative. If you don't like it, don't read it. :brick:
like you said and that is what he is doing. I am not taking sides the OP could have phrased it more diplomatically though and not so nastily:wave:

If all we did was pat WDI and TDO on the back for every decision they made this would be too boring of a site.

If we didn't like Disney, we probably wouldn't care about it. Since we are fans we tend to blow everything out of proportion, but hey... that is what makes this place so great.

I don't think that's what the OP was saying and I find it amusing to hear the "complainers" making their case that you have a right to compain. I agree with the OP about let's move on.

It's just the constant whining day after day, month after month, year after year about the same things!!!! That is what gets many people annoyed........not the complaining about different things but the same things over and over. Rides that have been closed, demolished, etc... are not coming back so why lament over it and compain. What does it get u?

Walt Disney was a genius and his life was about progress, thinking of the future and always moving forward. Does everyone here think that he made no mistakes? Than why can't the Imagineers??? Perhaps they make more mistakes than Walt did, but Disney as a whole obviously does something right. No one on these boards know what ideas Walt had that failed because of no internet, no media coverage etc...

It's easy to sit back and say TDO sucks and only cares about money, blah blah blah but the only way to succeed is to keep taking chances. Some chances whiff and some will be a huge success.....that's life in general.

Telling people to stop complaining about stuff here is almost like telling them to stop breathing. Ain't gon happen. And while I never was a true fan of LOW as I haven't been down to WDW enough during the holidays to actually give a crap, I do think it's messed up for them to keep cutting back on stuff. What if they decide to not do the osborne lights? Should we not complain and just accept that? What if they decided to close down pirates, splash, and haunted mansion, should we be satisfied with that?

Point is, what is big to one person that warrants a legit complaint, may be small to another. Everyone on here complains!! The op is complaining about other people complaining. You can tell them to not go to disney because of LOW, and they can also tell you to not come here because of the complaints.

I think some people just really like to argue. Apparently this guy couldn't find something to argue about it any of the other threads so stated this one, said something that anyone would know would offend a great number of people here just to stir things up and get a response. It's really kind of sad.

I'm certainly not telling people they can't complain but like I said, it's the complaining about the same thing for month after month, etc... So many people freaked last year when LOW were removed and that's cool but to come back 12 months later and complain all over again gets tired.

Same thing about the Adventure's Club.........the same people complain and say the same statements for months and years.

Last Year Disney seemed amazed at the amount of complaints that poured in over LoW.... if this year the chatter goes "quiet" in the hope that 2011 will be with something to replace the LoW then the probable thought process will be "people dont care, mothball the project".

Never had the honor to attend the Adventurer's Club, but after seeing videos of the shows on youtube it does look to be a sad loss of a quality location full of talented CMs!

As for complaining....I LOVE Disney and I am probably very mild in my complaints when compared to the mainstream...but one of my dearest hopes is to see the Disneyland version of the Tiki Room return to WDW (its essentially a shortened version of the original)....this opinion is one that after expressing I am seeing is more and more common amongst many.... in some ways we who care enough to speak our peace respectfully are providing a "forum" to bounce off these thoughts and ideas... and I feel quite certain that members of the Disney company scour these forums to see what the feelings are of the community out here that loves them so dearly. People that make rude comments about people specificly or pointed things about TDO that are nonconstrucive is another story entirely since that isnt helping anyone at all......

In conclusion, complaining to "just Complain" is not good, but to complain or discuss with the intention of trying to make something better or corrected is not a bad thing at all and is in fact a central part of our Democracy.

Are the lights of winter coming back this year?

:lookaroun

sorry, couldn't resist.

I'm looking forward to hearing the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. I guess Christmas hasn't been canceled at Epcot after all.

Is this where I can complain that all those construction walls are detracting from my enjoyment of the Fantasyland area of the Magic Kingdom? :lookaroun

Okay, who's complaining now?!?! :ROFLOL:

Seriously though, I agree with you COMPLETELY! I'm tired of seeing all the complaints about LOW, AC, Horizons and of course Imagination. They're gone, get over it, move on!

I mean, Walt himself said that the park(s) were going to be forever changing and growing. It's part of the process, part of life, it happens. It's not always pleasant when things change, but move on, put on your big girl (or boy) panties and get over it.

Here's my take on LOW, and it's probably more optimistic than most, for now at least. Christmas is a big, BIG time of year for Disney. They make lots of money off it. Therefore, decorations and themeing are key to being able to please and entertain their guests. LOW may not return in their previous form, but I feel pretty confident in saying that SOMETHING will. Disney is the business to entertain and make money off their efforts to entertain. If they can create an entity that pleases their guests and allows them to capitalize on it, they will certainly find a way to do so.

ITA!

They are probably making a newer, better version. Eventually, everything gets changed or scrapped. One day, our generation will be gone, too. Everything goes. Although I agree Disney has gotten $ eyes lately, they ARE a business and are in it for money, not charity. Sometimes the show changes but it will go on.

The thing is, some people aren't going down because of the scaling back of Christmas decorations. My family is one of them.

LoW is just a symptom of a bigger issue with Christmas at WDW, and it is the most easily latched onto.

Of all the things to get fed up about hearing, I'm not sure this is one I would choose. It seems like a pretty legitimate reason to be upset to me.

It's not like...say...a Tiki lighting ceremony that was only missing for a month...:animwink:
