Rumor Stitch's Great Escape Replacement— Don’t Hold Your Breath

To be a little more on topic, one of my favorite things about riding Stitch is all the left over AE stuff.
Like the XS branded chair covers when a seat is down in the theater and the xs tubes down at the end of the hall where you load into the theaters.

Do you think Disney keeps an old ride's lights/audio/vehicle programming when they reskin it into a new experience?

Like just for example, you could sit down and theyd play the old light/seat programming and audio for AE, but with the stitch reskin still
existence (rendering some of stitch's current effects like the guns and animatronic itself useless but whatever)?
Or like they select the CTX ride programming and onboard audio for a vehicle while it goes through it's current incarnation of Dinosaur?

I've always thought it would be so cool to just experience some of these programmings even if the ride itself didnt quite match up physically.

Sorry to change the subject so hard but I figured it would be okay since there's not really much news for this topic in light of RiW getting
shelced (thank god)
Nice thought but probably not. A lot of the time new tech replaces the old tech including how it's stored. DACS to local, off board to onboard for example.

CTX had the same onboard audio as Dinosaur btw.

For like, A MONTH CTX had different audio.
It was bad and deserved to be changed but yes.

I've just always thought it would be interesting to know what they do with it, and if they keep it around.
My DREAM would be riding new SE with the old Jeremy Irons audio. It was my absolute favorite when I was younger, the score makes me sob lol.

I wonder if theres any reskinned ride that they DO have the old programming still "in the computer" for lack of a better phrase.

Ive seen a man die (after he was shot). Ive been shot at several times at close range, held up at gun point, and car jacked (at gun point also), but I do not use it as any excuse to dismiss my behavior. I had many extremely traumatic experiences growing up but I did not act like Brenda Walsh and loose control of reality and require therapy (kudos to anyone who remembers that episode).

You from Chicago or Detroit?

@Magic Feather I seem to recall you saying that an attraction will receive a "rocket powered" overhaul. Any more word on that? Was that for Stitch?
I don't believe I dropped the "rocket power" hint, although it is worth noting that this project has been delayed. Even if it closed in Jan, it would merely be to sit dormant until plans are finalized. A few flaws with Ralph were realized, but the ride may still return to that concept.

The reason Disney films are doing so well is that Disney has chosen a strategy of quality over quantity. They seem to be more and more applying this strategy to the theme parks starting with Carsland.

Also, Disney is prioritizing quality over quantity. Disney is more like dining at the Grand Floridian rather than Burger King. And while some companies crank out attractions like fast food restaurants, I don't believe Disney will ever choose such a strategy.

The one thing people do not understand is that the "Disney Difference" is only possible because of Disney's unique creative process.

yeah.....FJ is such poor quality.....or its just STILL the best attraction built in the state of Florida.

It is only fair that it lose a few style points due to the land not being as immersive as something like Carsland or Pandora. However, as a ride, I am sure it sets a nice standard that will soon be surpassed.

carsland maybe but they didn't just say ok we are done....they connected it to another theme park and created more Immersion than carsland will ever have. i hope pandora is great i cant wait to see it soon...but it has alot to live up too.

Under The Sea: Journey of The Little Mermaid & Seven Dwarfs Mine Train are far superior.
I disagree..

The little mermaid outer part was fantastic.. but the inside.. somehow feels.. I dont know.. not complete. like they wasted all the money on the queue and the ursula AA and left everything else to be incredible simply AA's with visible equipment on the ceiling.

Seven Dwarfs.. too short... Theres only one real scene which passes pretty fast.

I would regard it as the third. Under The Sea: Journey of The Little Mermaid & Seven Dwarfs Mine Train are far superior.

Also... Massively long names are most important.
In that case Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey to use the full name. Also trumps the Dwarf Coaster in name length, words and syllables if that's important.

As well as everything else.

You must be the first person I know that rates the Little Mermaid ride higher than Forbidden Journey :)
I was being sarcastic. I abhor the Little Mermaid's ride, but the line is good. SDMT is far too short, and Little Mermaid is nothing but a small book report dark ride.

Forbidden Journey is my favorite ride in Orlando lol.

I guess I should have done;) on my last post... I'll edit it in.
