Sci-Fi stuff and IPs should go in Tomorrowland, and possible future stuff and educational stuff should go to Epcot.

Right. I think they should go full ore sci-fi with Tomorrowland with it being fictionalized sci-fi fantasyland. IPs can certainly fit that effectively, though original ideas can and should also be used. Future World at Epcot (or changing it to Discoverland or whatever) should be more "science fact" with realistic futurism and celebrating mankind's achievements.

Moving attractions, though, doesn't make much sense though Carousel of Progress would fit a lot better in FW than its current location. (I've always said moving IASW makes sense only if they are doing so specifically to open up the land to the north of it in MK for other uses; moving it just for thematic reasons would be an unnecessary cost). I think Space Mountain could go either way, but it's more whimsical and fits better in Tomorrowland and is iconic there, so I don't see any justifiable reason to move it to Epcot. It just needs a good renovation, which can be done much more affordably keeping the current structure.

The seeming inability of management to actually approve and fund plans in a timely fashion is mind boggling to me. How indecisive are they? Is this a TDO thing or more due to overall P&R leadership in Burbank?
Well Martin says he thinks it's a good thing that it's being rethought so i'm not going to complain here.

Put it this way: Would you rather them rush the R&D/approval process like they did with Frozen Ever After or would you rather they get it right?

I would love to log on WDWMagic and see a new thread titled "The clock is ticking on Frozen Ever After".. BUT I'll continue to live in my fantasy world that the FEA overlay was intended to be temporary. Seriously though I truly hope TDO does not make this mistake of a forcing & rushing an IP into an existing attraction again.

Big company syndrome. I am not surprised at all. Too many layers of red tape to approve something. I currently work for a company that is ten times worse then Disney, (I'll call my company HAL, nobody will figure this one out). My company gains momentum and then makes a decision that sets it back worse then before the momentum started. Additionally, the financial arm and their commitment to stock holders drive too many of the decisions. So you end up making a decision to cut something that is truly needed for the good/health of the company in order to improve the stockholders portfolio by just one dollar. Disney is no different. I can almost guarantee that whatever it was going into the Stitch space was pushed aside probably more so then note because of financial reasons. How do we make it cheaper? It is why Epcot looks as bad as it does. Big company politics.. got to love it!

If companies make more money by doing want their own customers want, then why won't Disney do that? I'm wondering if these butt-heads even have a true economics background/ university major.

Sadly that one dollar is all that matters anymore.
