Ah, yes. Now I see the light  Thanks for clearing that up...so I imagine Skippy will either be somewhat hidden..or perhaps he may make his "cameo" in some part of the animated clips, no?

Umm...technically can mean two different things. You can mean the technically you were talking about (as in the technology part of it)......OR you can mean it in a way where you are trying to prove a point and you say "technically you're right but...". I misunderstood his tone I guess.

Yes, I know...but someone (not sure if it was you...bad memory) took it as the latter of your two uses...and I was letting he/she know that Lee was talking about the first (technology wise).

That's all :)

(I didn't want people thinking that Lee was saying that the entire attraction would be better when he was only saying that the technology being used was superior to AE's)

Re: I'm glad AE is Stitch Cute now

I am glad AE is being replaced by the cuter Stitch version. I could not enjoy this attraction either time I went in it b/c of the children crying and the mother's saying "Baby, your hurting Mommy's hand". This attraction was scary to children and labeled so and yet parents still coaxed their child on it like it was some sort of bravery test. Disney World is not the place to test your 7 year olds bravery if you can keep from it. I am sorry to see the queue music go, though, it went something like "We're stealing the future" and was real New Age sounding, that was my favorite part.

"seizing the future" not "Stealing"

so you're glad it's gone because of stupid parents who don't know how to say "No" to their spoiled children?

i'm sorry my sister did AE once, got scared. hated it and never went back. my parents neither forced her or tried to convince her to go back on. she just didn't like it. even when it opened, they took me and not her. i was 10 she was 7. enough said.

Okay, update:

Seems the plans I had been given before have been changed a bit... Skippy, is still there, he was just cleaned and updated. Same Skippy as before. WDI liked Skippy too much, and sorry George Lucas, but Skippy's skin is staying right where it is. So, what was scrapped for parts? SIR and the Alien. So, you won't be seeing them at all. But Skippy will be in the preshow, playing the part of another illegal genetic experiment. (Watch Stitch the Series on ABC & Disney Channel) So there you have it. Sorry for the confusion, as like it always is, plans change. And I was told that Skippy & SIR were to be scrapped for parts. But evidently, they decided to use some other parts. So there you have it. Skippy fans rejoice.:D

Even though I have NO idea why they couldn't have turned the best animatronic on property (S.I.R.) into something to work for Stitch but no matter what at least a LITTLE bit of Alien Encounter will LIVE ON!!!!!!!!! I hope that Skippy is more popular than Stitch :lookaroun Hey I can dream

Thanks for the update!

I'm glad to hear Skippy the animatronic will still be there :sohappy:! He'll fit in quite well as another genetic experiment. Some of the experiments in the tv series even have a slight resemblance to Skippy. Perhaps they can still sell the Skippy plush then too ;)

I'm not to heart broken SIR is gone for the reason I posted above...that being I think SGE should really have a different feel to it than AE to be a better success. Having SIR...even with a different voice...would have been too close to AE. Perhaps they used his parts to create an all new-advanced character, which is cool. In fact, it kind of makes me glad SIR was taken out...as I feared that Disney's press releases that stated SGE would use some of the most advanced animatronics Imagineers ever built were simply referring to SIR, who was already there....with no SIR that means they really are building NEW advanced animatronics for SGE, which makes me happy :D

(Although if SIR does end up somehow in SGE, I won't be upset either since he was one of my favorite audio-animatronics of all time ;))

Hey insiders: I'll be there first week in November 2004. What is the percentage likelihood that the attraction will be up and running by that time?

No, actually, that sounds about right for Cast previews to start. So, I'm really not sure. I'll have to check.

hmm in my experience of cast previews its usually about a month or so beforehand when they start testing the show, so best bet would be in mid to late july.

Sorry Bill, but S.I.R and Skippy will both be returning to SGE! S.I.R. will either be featured in a preshow or a postshow, I don't remember, really. We'll just say that Skippy gets in a "sticky" stitaution...

What makes you so sure? Do you know somebody close to the project. I certainly hope you are right but Bill does have some pretty realiable sources.
