One Little Spark...
Yes!!!

Right here.

Hamill...at a Disney event...not too subtlety hints that they did explain really anything about his character to fill in the details...and Kennedy does a cheesy plug for the movie while Johnson claps like a wind up toy.

The warnings have been there if you know where to look.

Look. He is just complaining because he doesn't understand the depth of the new universe, and he is upset that he doesn't play a long term role in it. And, if you don't see it, I'd point you to all of the new novels, comics and video games so you can understand it.

If you had read the comics, seen the video games, or just appreciated social justice, you would understand that he is simply mansplaining, read...complaining, instead of understanding the depth of the story the audience is being presented with in this movie.

Plus, who does he think he is?

Obviously this movie is amazing, because the box office returns and the critics say so. There is no such thing as fan base overlap, or them going to see it to see if they are proved wrong (or correct) about theories.

No, if they don't like it, it is simply because they are small minded bigots that probably voted for Trump. Just like Hamill, who is obviously a white supremacist cis-gendered colonialist nazi.

It was exactly this sort of negative outrage by these man-children, unlike the strong men presented in this movie, can't understand that the world doesn't revolve around them....it was exactly this sort of negative outrage that led to the Ghostbusters non-reboot-reboot failing. That was an AMAZING movie that took a whole bunch of risks! But, it failed because the misogynistic internet trolls of the world rejected it, because it had a cast of strong, independant women.

Ugh... please stop with these armchair story tellers. I won't watch videos of nerds from their moms basement talking for 30mins about other crap they've read online. Give me the source.... not some dude starring into a camera reading it to me

No we will not stop. ;) I found this one much more entertaining than the movie.

Thank you for bringing my attention to the wretched scum that defines the darkest corners of the Star Wars fandom. This movie has brought out the worst, most despicable fans, and I find myself at a point in which I question if I would ever want to define myself as a 'Star Wars' fan again. Look, I hate the DC Comics movies at the moment, but do I send death threats to the cast and crew and call for them to die of cancer?

There are some truly despicable humans on this Earth, all because they disliked a movie franchise and were too caught up in their own theories and ideas of what SW is about.

Linking to a bunch of reviews is pretty pointless, as opinions will vary. Having said that, the Screen Junkies spoiler review on YouTube is pretty good, as they have a very fair grasp on what worked, and what didn't, in the movie. I'm in the camp that feels that much of the movie worked really well, some things didn't, but it was good overall. It surprised in many ways, and has generated conversation in a way most movies don't.

A few people here have said they wanted to see Lando in the casino. This is pure fan fiction territory, and would not have made sense. The prequels were awful for bringing back characters just for the sake of it. There was no need for Chewbacca to show up in Episode 3, and putting Lando in this film would have been contrived. Yoda appearing made sense, and served the story.

This movie was written before TFA was even finished, and the lack of a shared vision shows. It felt like Rian Johnson didn't care about most of J.J. Abrams plot points, and disregarded them.

I like that Rey wasn't a Skywalker or a Kenobi or a Solo, but there was still a bit of a disconnect from the previous movie. In TFA it felt a bit like they were teasing a future big reveal, but the excessive fan theories and speculation fueled that more than the movie did. The movie never said that Rey's parentage mattered, nor did it imply that Snoke would be more than just a bad guy.

Kudos to them for leaving the movie as is, and not changing the story after Carrie Fisher's death. I would have been ed had they cut out most of her scenes simply because the explosion at the beginning offered a convenient way to kill off the character.

I would be fine if they recast the role. She was supposed to be a major player in the next film, and seeing her use force powers for the first time set up the possibility of Leia doing things we've never seen her do before.

Some people have complained about force users doing things we've never seen before, which is a silly complaint. The first seven movies do not represent a complete and definitive list of force powers. Why wouldn't there be more that we haven't seen. Of course, a force ghost manipulating the physical environment like Yoda did seems a bit much. It will be interesting to see if that plays out further in the next film.

I kind of feel like the ending, setting up a future generation of force users, should have been the ending of the next film. Finish out the trilogy story of Luke/Rey/Ben/Leia and then set up a future.

Oddly, many people are acting like it's a new thing that force use isn't just restricted to a chosen few. This was never the case. The prequels showed there were hundreds of Jedi. They weren't all Skywalkers.

Obviously this movie is amazing, because the box office returns and the critics say so.

And the audience says so. Stop it with the Fake News that people in general hated it. The RT self-poll is the only evidence of that and it is blown away not only by other self-polls but by actual random sampling polls.

And posting video after video of people who didn't like it doesn't mean it's bad. You are cherry picking the 20% of the population who didn't like it.

If they want to express their opinions on this forum, let them sign up for an account and speak for themselves. Posting their views to justify your views is no justification at all. It's manipulation.

Here’s my question for everyone here.,

On YOUR own social media.. your friends, family, coworkers.. how many are posting that they didn’t like the film? The majority or minority?

Not weird YouTube people who make videos to feel important and make up for low self esteem.. I’m asking about actual “normal” people.

Please don't take my side of the argument in this. Your extremism only diminishes it.
