Oh I knew everything at 15!
And now you're guilt-stricken, sobbing, with your head on the floor?

Me too mid 1999I remember disney.force9.co.uk!
No one will see the film so it won’t matter. 57% on RottenTomatoes...eek
Didn’t this start as an IllumiNations fan club, basically?Me too mid 1999
Yes and yes. I signed up since Steve had some of the first RoE videos on the web.Didn’t this start as an IllumiNations fan club, basically?

I don’t want to go too far down this rabbit hole but wish they had just given J.J. the trilogy. You need one person in charge like Kevin Feige for the MCU. That’s what makes the MCU so cool to me. A single vision.I'll watch it anyway, as will probably most people, but the reviews all seem to boil down to "JJ Abrams retconned almost all of TLJ and sidelined Rose Tico to appease the trolls, and then tried to check off 8 movies' worth of items on the fanservice spreadsheet all at once, resulting in an utter train wreck."
And it'll still most likely do well at the box office. No one will see the film so it won’t matter. 57% on RottenTomatoes...eek
I mean it’ll make a billion. But they want $2bn. You need repeat viewers for that. And it'll still most likely do well at the box office.

While I've got a list of at least 20 directors I'd rather have been handed the trilogy before JJ, you're absolutely right that the lack of a coherent vision for the trilogy is at the root of most reasonable complaints about it. I'd take a JJ-directed trilogy over how it ended up going down, but his films tend to be all about rehashing the past rather than moving a story forward.
They revived it in 2016 and closed it a year later. It needs to stay dead. Anywho...rise.THERE IS A REASON NOBODY HAS EVER REVIVED "CATS" ON BROADWAY!!!!!!!

Messed up that Disney spent 1 billion on a theme park based on characters that no one wants to see.
