What about if they were to simply add more than one experience - different missions with slightly different goals (in the same way they do with Star Tours) so it actually feels a little different and it wouldn't be entirely obvious on a second or third or fifth ride-through that the "interactive" aspect of the ride isn't all that different from Mission Space?

They could of course, also create greater consequences for a poor ride-through other than a lower score - it doesn't have to be a "you loose - you suck" ending so much as just a different ending from the same start involving the actual in-ride experience rather than a "meh" grade on a video screen and some "damage" people don't seem to notice on exit.

I feel like at least some of the bigger issues with this one could be improved upon within the software.

Remember, for most of it's life (decades), Star Tours was the very same dated practical effects video attraction it started out with on opening.

Comparatively speaking, this one should be easy for them to iterate on.

Hopefully, they do.
I said this from the get-go.

I'm a bit baffled that there's only one version of both Smuggler's Run and FoP. People love FoP, but I always kinda come off of it thinking how much better it could have been.

Then again, I think it is sad Muppets only has one version. Muppets begs for multiple episodes. One thing that set the original show apart from all other television of that era was that the opening changed every episode. It was just such fun idea to vary the opening credits.

Then along came the Muppets attraction and there's only one version. It's just sad, when it would have been so easy to make multiple version of the pre-show. The show even has a small live portion. If they had just made that portion a little longer...it could have had variation. Sigh.

Glad to see today's report that the wait time droppe sharply after the first several hours and the actual time to get onboard was even less. Finally, there is hope to ride this attraction without having to play smartphone roulette.

Is the wait time supposed to be the time to the pre-transport show? Or to the holding cell? There could be quite a significant difference there depending on what's going on. I remember waiting in the hallyway before the holding cell for 25 minutes or so back in dec 2019

But how early do us “un-deluxe” on-site rats have to show up? Is it going to be a re-do of opening day… every day? Asking hypothetically.

Never been on this ride before and going to the park Sunday. Not sure if we should get there 30-45 minutes before rope drop and go with the masses, or just wait later in the day. I don't mind waiting 75 minutes if that's the actual wait, and reading this thread it sounds like they're inflating the times.

Don't get your hopes up... This is because it's September... not much else.

We should have a thread on here just for Posted vs Actual ROTR wait times. Help our fellow WDWMagic folks out so no shells out un-necessary money for a LL pass!!

There's also a company that does this for a living... Paging @lentesta...

I imagine TouringPlans will be quite valuable now....
Looking at the user submitted times on the TouringPlans app, a sample of posted vs actual wait times for RotR are:

12:30pm Posted 100min, actual 71 min
2:45pm Posted 60min, actual 24 min
3pm Posted 60min, actual 20 min

September is usually the beginning of Brazilian tourist season if I remember correctly. And maybe free dining? So without those, it's dead.

October brings colombus day and Yom Kippur school breaks and Halloween crowds. We'll see...
We went to Disney 4 years in a row in October, the reason being the kids get a few days off for those holiday. 2016though2019almost walk on lines every year. The kids days off from Oct Holidays apparently does not effect lines much.

I had a friend text me why are we in Disney now with kids off and I was in line at at Space Mountain and texted her this

50th will effect October, but normally a great time to go.
