Sorry to hurt the narrative with an actual experience.

Rode first time yesterday. As expected, it was insanely good. Best ride at WDW.

We went to MVMCP last night and had a wonderful Christmastime.

Didn’t set an alarm today. Woke at 7:15 am at Wilderness Lodge and easily arrived at DHS by Disney bus at 8:20 am. Got BG 161. We are at WL now for dinner, returning to DHS later. Things look good so far. Hopefully we will manage to sleep in and still ride. Will report back.

I love the BG system.

Proof we are actually here:

Really? This is difficult to picture.
So you come into that room, and the wall is blocking the (broken) Kylo. To his left (our right) are windows to space. Kylo flies in, screams something like “there’s no escape!” and starts shooting. This causes the depressurization and wind vortex as we flee. It’s a little strange that he would be firing on his own Star Destroyer but it’s an effective B mode so the ride story can still progress.

The CMs are PHENOMENAL. So fun. You can tell they love the job. We are having a wonderful time. We’ve never been here right at Christmas and are loving it.

Very interesting! Agreed that it's a little odd, but I'm not sure what else you could do.

Glad you're having fun during Christmas! We just returned home after being there part of last week and were blown away by the Christmas spirit, decorations, etc in the parks and resorts.

$175 million for the first 4 days is hardly "bombing."

Lackluster...not up to the standards they set and china? What china? Will it make money you bet. Is it performing like they wanted. Big NO. But thats an aside the issue at hand is if the switchbacks become permanent and my belief that theres no reason Disney would protect show over operations/capacity.
