DHS Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Standby Line and Boarding Groups at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Got to experience Rise for the first time this morning (12/24) and thought I'd share details to possibly help others with planning. Drove in and arrived at the parking booth at 5:59A. Short line at security at 6:04A then waited about 30ft from the ticket booths until 6:32A when the turnstiles opened. Scanned into the park at 6:45A. Got Boarding Group 11 at 7:00A. BG 11 was called at 7:17A. Arrived at RotR at 7:30A, no line. Also, no line in the Star Destroyer.
At 7:50A the attraction faulted and we had to be evacuated from the escape pod lift (took 12 min). While the audio was interrupted with an automated announcement during the escape pod sequence, the video and motion continued. We were all given a Multiple Experience FastPass+ and also allowed to return later in the day for a clean run. Tons of fun - worth getting up at 4:30A.... #EarlyRiserOfTheResistance

Nice report! Sounds like you had the timing down perfectly. Did you go back for a clean run yet?
I did go back for another ride around 11A and things ran very smoothly. CMs were really digging into their roles on the Star Destroyer and it was a blast!

How did you get there? Having the Skyliner open so late seems ridiculous. What's the point of it if guests can't use it when they need it?

We had access to a car so we drove. Front Desk told us bus service started at 6.
Honestly, Minnie Van is the only reasonable choice if you want to get there quickly and don't have a car.

Gotcha. I'm disappointed that the gondolas aren't more accessible for early mornings. Glad you were able to ride it. I'd definitely try to do it again. I rode it three times and it was great every time.

Agreed! I was blown away by how the CM’s stayed in character. Quite a few were actually outstanding. I think you have a good shot still. 143 now.Dang seems like my 154 BG won't be called..
I know it wasn't a guarantee, but it seemed like a guarantee given how it's been performing recently

Current situation in front of the down'd RoR. Lots of groups of people gathered in front waiting for ride to be back up. Majority of people expressing frustration of being called to board, but ride still not up.
Also a line forming that leads all the way to tunnel to Grand Avenue.
