Has anyone ever tried to have two people on two different devices obtain a boarding group for the same tickets? Will it increase your chances or blow up our phones?
It's a similar result to crossing the streams.

  • If you’re starting your day at Disneyland park, access the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance virtual queue from wherever you are, beginning at 7 a.m.
"As previously mentioned, we will continue using a virtual queue system for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. The attraction’s virtual queue is only accessible via the Disneyland mobile app, and you can only experience the attraction by joining the virtual queue. Beginning April 30, our distribution times for the virtual queue enrollment will be at 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. daily.**

Guests with a valid ticket and theme park reservation who will start their day at Disneyland park will be able to access the virtual queue system with the mobile app and check for an available boarding group starting at 7 a.m. on the day of their park reservation. This can be done before you leave your hotel, home, or wherever else you may be at that time! Guests will need to have their park tickets linked to their Disney account.

If you don’t begin your day at Disneyland park, you may still be able to access the virtual queue opportunity beginning at 12 p.m. Guests who have a valid ticket and park reservation, and have entered Disney California Adventure park with a Park Hopper ticket by noon, may access the virtual queue system to check for available boarding groups beginning at 12 p.m. Such guests who obtain a boarding group may then enter Disneyland park with their Park Hopper ticket after 1 p.m. for their boarding group, subject to availability. For additional details on the virtual queue, visit Disneyland.com."

**You must have a valid admission ticket and theme park reservation for Disneyland park. Access to a Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance boarding group is subject to availability and not guaranteed. In order to give as many Guests as possible the opportunity to join the Resistance, each Guest can enter the virtual queue no more than once per day. Distribution times are subject to change or cancellation. Joining the virtual queue does not guarantee the ability to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

the question is if i start my day off at disneyland and do not get a 7am boarding group can i try again at 12pm or is that for the park hoppers from dca only now?

Yes it has been done prior to Shut down because you can link tickets to multiple devices. Currently for some reason they changed the App and you can only link a ticket to one device. I am seeing some do a work around by signing into multiple devices with the same account and getting a boarding group.

It explains it better on the Disneyland Website under ROTR :

Starting the Day at Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park (with a Park Hopper Ticket)
To access the virtual queue opportunity to check for an available boarding group beginning at 12:00 PM, Guests must have a valid ticket and park reservation, and have entered Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park (with a Park Hopper ticket) by noon. Guests beginning their day at Disney California Adventure Park may then enter Disneyland Park with their Park Hopper ticket after 1:00 PM for their boarding group, subject to availability.

Were these container looking things there pre-Covid? I know that on really busy days the queue goes back there, but I've never experienced it myself. I don't recall seeing them on previous Google Earth maps.

I think you meant to type "Immersive", didn't you?

The extended queue for Millennium Falcon is immersive! You wander around "backstage" between giant Chinese shipping containers spray painted with Star Wars symbols and you get to see the cheap buildings where they store parade floats and stare up at the gaps in the mountains to discover how the Imagineers create The Magic!

It's an immersive experience, and every Cast Member staffing the queue has their own backstory!

"The Disneyland ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is an 18-minute space adventure in which riders join the resistance movement, get captured by the evil First Order and finally escape with the help of members of the rebellion.

But even in a galaxy far, far away, Earth’s deadly pandemic has had an impact: California health protocols mandate that all indoor rides last no longer than 15 minutes. To offer Rise of the Resistance, Disneyland has to shorten it.

Disneyland officials promise that when the park reopens Friday, the ride’s major plot points will remain intact, including lots of explosions, drama and high-tech mayhem.

Disneyland representatives said the overall experience would be shortened by cutting down the “dwelling points,” where riders wait or stroll through the attraction. That could include the segments when visitors are waiting to be interrogated by the First Order’s leader Kylo Ren or when they are allowed to linger before a unit of stormtroopers in a Star Destroyer’s hangar bay, according to Disneyland representatives.

A speech given at the beginning of the ride by a hologram of resistance hero Rey may also be shortened, they said."

Oh man, just did a trial run to see availability of the 12PM slot.. and they were gone in even less than 7 seconds. If you mis-press one button, you likely won’t get a pass. It’s madness.

EDIT: Nevermind! As Nate said above, apparently they didn’t distribute any at all. LOL

This isn’t true. I got a boarding group at 7am and my friend got one for the 12pm distribution. They just opened late today. I’m here at Disneyland right now for the soft opening
That’s weird! They told me I couldn’t get one at the 12:00 distribution. Ugh...
