Apple slowed down the phones to prevent them from shutting off when you had a below-EOL battery. And only when there were peak calls. Replace the battery and its back to normal. Now, of course, the 6,7, et al will still be slower than an 11 because of processors.
And the artificial restraints Apple later adds to older phones so you will have to upgrade.

Leagelly, and State of California rules say Safety First. You must be able to clearly hear and understand the instructions, and remain calm. So they can't be in character.
So you are saying the First Order cast members can't order your immediate execution?

I know its not to everyone's taste (and even odder for someone who loves Disney parks lol) but I'm a multi-faceted individual ;)
I'm starting to amass a small collection of vintage TMNT action figures too :)
Same here about the music haha. I love all types of music and honestly it’s so fun to listen to new sounds. Who knew we had so much in common lol.

If the building is on fire, sure, throw it out. But I feel like most evacuations are, "the ride is broken, please disembark your vehicles one at a time and follow me..."

Or, you know, I was being slightly facetious.
I think they said “Your First Order Escape has been stopped and will not resume at this time. A Cast Member will help you exit your vehicle soon” or something like that

I would suggest trying this method while your phone loads

Hey, I could have my kids try this while I try it on my phone. Good idea! I’m thinking our best bet will be to position ourselves by the Buzz Lightyear Fastpass machines (unless they get super busy?) and the second it turns 8 or I’ll open my app while my kids try the ticket method. Do you have to put all three tickets in I wonder or ?

Gosh, I’m going to be so relaxed and stress free after this vacation!

Yeah or at least stand at the Tomorrowland entrance so that you’d be one of the first at those machines after rope drop. The ticket thing is a good question that I don’t have an answer to. I’d also open your app a minute before rope drop and have it on a page you go to right before ordering the actual boarding pass. There’s a couple ways to get there, one is just tapping on the ride and scrolling down. Then hit “Learn more” when the time comes

??? What artificial restraints? I have friends still using iPhone 6. In fact it can run the current iOS 12. Which more than you can say for age-old Android phones. And yes, it runs just fine, no issues other than some newer apps require a newer phone... which would be the same if you had a computer running Windows Vista.

Latest IOS is 13.1 as of Sept 2019. I'm sure 14 will be released shortly.

I only ever do one major update. So if my phone comes with iOS 13 I stop at 14. I still see friends having way too many problems if they’re updated with an older device compared to me. They end up buying new phones faster out of necessity since Apple doesn’t sign useful versions. Right now they’re only letting us go back to 12.4.4

When they evacuate you, do they have a couple CM's dressed up as Resistance spies who are there to "break you out"?
That'd be cool.
Literally lol. I got evacuated 2 times yesterday. Both First Order and Resistance CMs helped us at the same time. They said nothing about immersion haha

Odd, when I got evaced they had a first order CM walk through. They were like semi in character I would say?

"I'm going to help get you guys out of here, I let the resistance know where you are and they're on their way."

Then about 10 minutes later a resistance CM showed up and helped us out. They were mixed during the actual walk out though between First Order and Resistance.
