Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opening reports and using Boarding Groups at Disneyland

Rise Before Dawn has made everyone equal, regardless of their wealth. It's like Titanic after the last lifeboat launched.

That's exactly what this is like. And I'm thrilled your Titanic analogies have found a new home.

Rise Before Dawn had one of it's most successful days today, even with a very late opening. Disneyland was open 8am to 8pm due to the private party tonight. The ride didn't open until 9:45am, but once it did it had a very successful day (at least for the low expectations of this ride) and just had a handful of relatively short 30 to 45 minute break downs. They closed at 7:10pm, because they can't just run the ride all the time for paying customers you know!

We were in group 16. The waiting and worrying whether or not it was ever going to open wasn’t fun, but I really enjoyed the ride! We had some entertainingly intimidating first order officers.

Fantastic! I'm so glad everything worked out after a tense morning. It is an impressive ride experience overall, isn't it?

Also good that they finally opened. Longest morning delay they've had thus far, with Disneyland opening at 8am but the ride didn't open until 12:30pm. Yikes!

Rough day for both coasts. WDW is at 46 at 4pm.

Indeed! The Disneyland version of Rise Before Dawn has been closed for the last two hours, after opening four hours late this morning. Heading for one of the worst days ever for this ride, so it was great news that @teruterubouzu won such an early Boarding Group and already got to ride. Stuck at Boarding Group 45 currently.

Wow, today is exceptionally bad.

The ride opened at 12:24, and then went down at 2:31 and hasn't reopened since. That gives them ~1 and a half hours to call 38 groups to hit all the guaranteed passes.

Is this the first time DL may not be able to hit all of the guaranteed boarding groups?

Just as I (and @TP2000 funnily enough) posted this, looks like they called group 46.

I believe it is. If they can get the ride reopened soon, they may make it by the skin of their teeth before they shut the thing down at 7pm tonight.

Yep, they just called group 46. With park hours only going to 8PM tonight I'm curious if they do the standard 2 hours of no calls or not.

The ride reopened a few moments after I posted that. Now calling Boarding Group 47!
Funny how that works.

But still, today is below the previous all-time low as represented by the black dotted line here....

Interesting to compare the two parks today with the same operating hours 8-8. WDW barely squeezed in their 70 guaranteed groups, and they called group 70 at 7:30pm. DL while still having a bad day actually isn’t on pace to be the worst performing.
