Same. Never liked it. In fac, a friend of mine and I turned Yuuzhan Vong into a verb. It means to actively dismiss or pretend as if certain aspects of canon, of any franchise, does not exist.
That is hilarious. My geek group basically did that same thing. We used “Vonged/Vonged up” for storylines that came out of nowhere, made no sense, and that we know are there … but we all generally agree not to talk about them.

This new area will offer opportunities to visit with favorite Star Wars characters, special exhibits, peeks at the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens and much more. Here’s a look inside!

    • Dark Side Gallery – Get a look at authentic pieces of stormtrooper armor as well as famous Sith lightsabers once wielded by masters of the dark side.
    • Light Side Gallery – Explore a gallery filled with Rebel flight helmets and lightsabers once wielded by Jedi Knights.
    • Preview Gallery – See props from the upcoming film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
    • Starship Gallery – Discover models of famous starships and their pilots from throughout the Star Warssaga.

I'm assuming that the two locations will be exactly alike, but are there any plans to have different props, meet and greets, etc. from one location to the other?

I'm sure they are going to be a very similar at first, but since both locations will probably have just "light side" and "dark side" they should be able to swap characters out in ease.

I just got my transfer accepted for Hollywood Studios attractions! I'm going to be working the new Star Wars land, and I'm going to be posted at the Launch Bay until the new attractions are ready enough for us to be trained!!!! Very excited!! I transfer on Nov. 22nd, so it seems like the Launch Bay will be up for the Christmas crowd. Looking forward to seeing all of you!! xD

They are actually signing up employees for Star Wars land even though it's several years away? Launch Bay I understand, but I didn't realize they made hiring decision for new attractions that far in advance.

So they choose the characters with no visable face, to make casting easier then. I guess finding a Harrision Ford lookalike for Han Solo is too hard?
Since I am the first one to jump on them for doing something lazy, casting Chewbacca is not easy at all. Han would be much easier.

You might not, but Traitor is the greatest Star Wars book ever written. It is a great sci if book without even being a Star Wars book.

A lot of the Expanded Universe stuff was really good....and some of it wasn't. Sure the whole Swarm War series was almost as bad as the Holiday Special, but the Republic Commando Series and the X-Wing series were great.
