Star Wars Land

I half blame the mods. There's no filter between legitimate rumor, possible rumor, wild speculation, and fanboy wet dream. It's impossible for the average poster to keep track of which people know they're talking about.

I'm not sure how that type of filter can be plausible though. This is the news and "rumor" thread. So all types of rumors, whether they have serious traction or not, can be discussed.

I think it's up to the members themselves to understand what rumors have potential and what rumors are blue sky fan boy dreams. And isn't that the whole point of a rumor? Speculation and hearsay? As much as I hope your avatar information becomes reality, I still read the information regarding the land with a grain of salt, since it is a rumor, and nothing official has been announced regarding what type of rides are going in the land.

Star Wars is one of, if not my favorite movie franchise. I would love for a greater Star Wars presence in DHS. I think it would be a perfect fit. But these ideas like Star Wars land have been discussed since Disney bought lucasfilm last fall. So as much as I would like it, I'm not gonna get excited over anything until an announcement is made, and furthermore, construction begins.

And really, if people believe everything they read on the Internet and can't distinguish fact from fiction, that's their own fault in my view.

More on the topic of the entire DHS facelift; I really hope that this will include a facelift for the entire park. There are some attractions that are good but need to be freshened up; Great Movie Ride, Muppetvision 3D, etc and I feel that ensuring that this project isn't just two lands (don't get me wrong I am so greatful for these) will help make the park a better experience. DHS is my favorite park because of the rich theme of the 1920's Hollywood and if they can bring the entire park up to that level of immersion I would probably never leave.

Credit to finding this goes to @huntzilla, but does anyone know if this is legit artwork or the legit name for the new Star Wars ride? I know Richard has done t-shirt work for them in the past:

Honestly, how often do you hear people talking about going to see the Chinese Theatre? I'm just saying this was an issue so long ago that it has since moved on to the "we're simply coping with it" stage. By now people (mostly) have forgotten the drama.

....how many remove the hat threads or complaints have you read over the forums here and most everywhere? People want the hat removed so you can see the WHAT AGAIN? LOL Oh yeah the Chinese theatre....! :)

I think people take for granted just how huge Star Wars really is. If there was some legitimate news surrounding a Star Wars Land, it would have been leaked with actual proof or been announced by now.

No news means nothing going on sadly.
...

I think your forgetting that Disney paid mister Lucus alot of money for Star Wars... and in relative terms only recently really... add the fact that they are making a new Star Wars movie (actually MOVIES) and this concept of building the land makes complete sense..... there are other reasons too but of course...
