One of the rumblings was also that Indy was staying put for now (though open to being replaced at some point as a Phase...4(?).
Your first rendering isn't even taking out half of the CM parking in the lot. You could take out up to another 6-7 rows of CM parking to offset the Indy show's footprint.

They could open SWL as a dead-end path through where Backlot Express is, and then when theyeventually come up with an Indy replacement they could link it to the area between where Indy and Primetime Cafe are now to create a complete loop.

This leads me to wonder what is happening with the Backlot Tour area then. We know that demolition has started in those areas. It just seems from a park management standpoint it would make most sense to develop a part of the park that didn't house current e-ticket rides for SWL. I don't see them shutting down the Star Tours area any time soon to make either one of these maps happen. However, I could see them building SWL and then shutting down Star Tours afterwards to re-locate or to re-theme.

Oi! Some of us grew up with him!

Vader's kids didn't.

The Star Wars saga is ultimately one about deadbeat dads.

I did talk to my "friends" last night. Nothing new to report on the SWL front... but, that's good news. I asked specifically about the budget hammer falling hard and so far... it hasn't been an issue. They are looking at keeping costs in line (yes, I know that this is WDI we are talking about); but, thus far - no hack and slash on SWL's ambitions.

I did ask about DHS's location and both of my friends say they still haven't heard of a change, so no news is still the old news as far as they know - front of the park still looks most probable and the land in the back is staging and eventual Phase III. Let's hope it goes better than Phase I did in Cuesta Verde and the don't only move the headstones.

Maybe, maybe not. The second area plan crosses where the current entrance from World Drive is. There is a fairly good chance that entrance way will be eliminated once the entrance from Victory Way is done.
ok maybe a partial retraction on my part... i thought the treeline was farther out... i see there is a copse of trees b/t the entry road to parking and parking itself, that i had no recollection of... you may be on to something
