Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I`m curious about the Launch Bay. I`m sure I read somewhere that the Launch Bay will have a counter service food area. Is this true? Or was this information confused with the fact that Disney said they will have Star Wars themed food during Season of the Force. Or possibly both? All I'm sure about is I'm looking forward to it (both Launch bay and Season of he Force). Maybe you all here can help me clear it up for me.

That does sound interesting. However, I don't think the Animation Academy area has any form of kitchen. So I could see them having small scale food stands, but no actual quick service food area. Maybe DL can? I don't know if Innoventions has a dining location in/near it.

I thinks it's odd that SW land might not be done before this trilogy is finished. Why not open the land when the second movie comes out to cross promote it.

Because they really don't need to, both the movie and land will sell just fine without the cross promotion. Not to mention it's very likely that a Star Wars movie will open the same year as the land. There are movies currently scheduled for every year up until 2020, and unless they are a total disaster I would fully expect them to continue beyond that.

The Land's set during the new trilogy's time period, but its not gonna be a full on book report of them. It's an all new planet after all.

What I'd love for them to do, but I seriously doubt they'd bother, would be for them to actually shoot a TV movie with an adventure taking place on the new planet using the actual theme park land as a set.

To be clear, it's a new planet right now. It's entirely possible that the new planet that is serving as setting for the theme park land will appear in Ep VII or somewhere in the new trilogy. In fact, I'd argue that it is likely given the obsession with cross promotion among current Disney leadership.

Doesn't even have to be the trilogy. We got the Anthology series now after all.

To stay relevant with today's media, the new parking sections will be named YouTube and Snapchat.
Well online media is certainly a big part of the way Hollywood markets these days and a HUGE way the music industry survives.

There's not an easy way to name something based on online content, however.

OH, THANK YOU so kindly for ruining the joke by explaining it.

Well, it's not as if I didn't know you were joking. I was simply saying that an "Online" section wouldn't actually be out of theme with Hollywood these days.

I know, there's really no good word for that without using something goofy and pretentious like "Transmedia" or something.

What people on Youtube are most commonly referred to is "content creators", which doesn't make a good name itself, but they could maybe work something out of "creation" or something?

I don't really think they'll have any new parking names, Internet-based or not, because it sure doesn't sound like they're planning anything that doesn't come from traditional media. Unless they really lose their minds and do Rock 'n Roller Coaster Starring Grumpy Cat or something.

I don't think they need any new names. Just use the ones they're replacing. Seems logical at least.
