So I just got off a very long phone call with a very helpful customer service rep. Some info that I figured I should share for opening day:
  • The parking lot will be open overnight
  • Security checks and lining up won't start happening until 4am
  • Buses will start running at 5am - 1 hour before open
  • The Skyliner won't be running yet
  • If the land reaches capacity and you have a reservation (Droid, Lightsaber, Cantina), you will be let in
  • If Hollywood Studios reaches capacity and you have a reservation (Droid, Lightsaber, Cantina), you will be let in
The customer service rep directly contacted the departments responsible (going so far as to contact Hollywood Studios and getting a response from the parking manager), so I'm very inclined to believe the info they provided is accurate

Does this apply to your whole party, or just the one with the reservation?

I.E. I have a res at Savi's, if the land is full, will they let my whole party (there will be 5 of us) in to the land, or just me (and my one guest allowed to watch me make the saber)?

I unfortunately didn’t ask that (we’re a party of 2). I would assume it would only be those included in the reservation though

For a $200 plastic sword, a $100 make pretend robot, and dixie cup sized overpriced drinks, they should roll out the red carpet, throw down roses, and then escort me into the land on one of those contraptions(I have no idea what they are called LOL) you see in movies that royalty would be carried in on.

I dunno...if the robots are anything like the R2-D2s that follow voice commands...we have one of those and he's pretty dang cool! (He's also coming up on 20 years old and still running like new!)

Did he/she say if you have a reservation how much earlier than your reservation you can get into the land or park? I think for DL it was two hours?
We have a savi ressie on 8/29 at 7pm and an oga on 8/30 at 11am. I’m looking forward to not having to get up at he crack of dawn on 8/30 to stand in line to get in the land.

Thanks for the info! Do you know if you are granted access to the land 1 hour prior to your reservation like at DL?

They did not mention this while I was on the phone, so this is total conjecture, but I would imagine it would be the check-in time range listed for the reservation at a minimum (1 hour for droid depot, 15 min for the other 2). Again, that’s just a guess though

Just checked the menu for Savi's lunch/dinner. It is "fixed," in that it isn't just regurgitating the breakfast menu. But none of the specialty vessels are listed (the Porg mug, the Endor mug, and the beer flight in the rancor teeth). Anyone know anything about that? Was really hoping to take home the rancor teeth flight glasses.

For $100, I want my droid to file my taxes.

I had a droid that could indeed file my taxes. Unfortunately it started to claim itself as a dependent and calling me 'Dad.' The thought of emotional investment was a deal breaker. I hacked its coding to believe that the only way to recharge itself was in a lava pit.
