Aren’t we meant to learn from history?

Especially given this IP. It won’t be enough.
As new lands go, this seems to be the most complete Disney has done.
2 incredible E-Tickets plus tons of immersive theming

Will it be enough to handle the crows? Definitely not.

But the land has expansion pads.
Disney just gotta be smart enough and actually use them

But like Pandora, there's a ton of "dead space" in the form of walkways, eateries and shops. All combined, those 14 acres will Hoover up a TON of people. Not that it matters in the context of DHS, which isn't exactly packed these days - but it will take people from the other parks too.

Also like Pandora, you might not get near the rides for like, a year (or two) but it sure will be fun as heck wandering around to gawk.

The problem with both lands is there's not much room for a third attraction without impacting said "dead space."

What are the chances that will cause another DHS expansion project being greenlit?
Who knows. It’s not like the problems not been coming for several years now. The worry is do we get something lacklustre (like Indy at DLP) as a knee jerk reaction that won’t fix the problem or does it take another five years before something that would help would be ready?

And would the board really approve the money that would be needed to do what’s required? They already missed a huge chance with the GMR/MMR debacle.

The park needs substantial expansion.

Once SWL opens, they could keep DHS open 16 hours a day, every day for the next 2 years, and it wouldn't make a dent into the overcrowding.

I'm beating a dead horse, but IMO, DHS Guest Relations staff are going to have nightmares of guests yelling at them all day long.

That’s the huge issue. As management are now admitting.
It will be a huge issue. Tons and tons of customer complaints because of major over crowding in one section of the park for months...and months...and months....
Nothing they can do now except weather the storm ahead.
If they had the room, a modern space mountainish Star Wars style coaster would be a cool third ride to consider...not sure about the room and the cost of theming it into the land.

Still, DHS needs something else to balance the park. A Frozen style land should have gone here instead of Epcot. That would have scattered some of the crowds. Toy story is fun and all but that part of the park will be empty when Star Wars opens.

DHS has been headed down the MK road for a long time; barring an absolutely massive expansion coinciding with that of another park’s, it will forever be stuck trying to catch back up with crowds, rather than the other way around.

Epcot and Animal Kingdom are in much better shape, though one could make an argument that DHS has more substance today than Epcot will have two years from now.

Exactly! It needs expansions not closures and replacements
