When you are supposed to get 16 people into an area within two minutes, every second counts. Yes, you can go up and down the line to find single riders but it’s much quicker if they are right there. You can save the going up and down the line looking for riders when you need 2,3,4 or 5 riders to make the correct ride count. Slinky Dog Roller Coaster splits us into a separate line because we had an even number of rides. The odd number of riders went into the other line. It was an interesting way of doing it but it seemed to work well.

FoP makes it less of an issue by having a pre-show that can lengthen or shorten as needed.

...obligatory IG88-head drink dispensers...
Any guesses how long until we see touristy stuff like that inside SW land? I’m guessing 18-24 months. It would be nice if all that sort of stuff was sold outside the exit to the land but I doubt it.

Supposedly, the plan is that anything sold in SWL:GE:B:BSO would only be items that could exist in that world. So, a cup shaped like a droid would be OK, just like, in our world, we have cups shaped like ducks. However, a self-referential item, like a Han-Shot-First T-shirt, would only be available outside SWL in one of the DHS shops.

I've brought this up on the Anaheim board and been shot down, but I am really curious about this element circled in red from Bioreconstruct's latest update:

The configuration is different here than in California and seems like the rockwork that will go on this steel will be nearly impossible to see.
Why this interests me is that there is rockwork going on both sides of this. In California it was suggested this was to dress up the backside as it's visible from the street, but this is being done no where else- there is plenty of unfinished/naked steel. In Florida, that area of the parking lot is rumored to be cast only.
My theory was that there would be overflow queue in the rather large space behind there. I honestly expect the Falcon ride as well will have some sort of lightly themed switchback area tucked around the showbuilding.
Right now I find the area a curiosity, and an odd bit excess spending on what may not be seen on stage.

Is this being added to both resorts? because if its only for the WDW version could it be that they are dreaaing up the area with rockwork so that it hrlps hide the large show building from muppet courtyard. Isnt there an area left of the muppet building that used to be a pathway and now has the construction aite visible?
could this also maybe be the possibility of an alternate third exig for the land if needed. they can open it and funnel guests into muppet area.
maybe even give them the option to further expand SWGE and take over muppet courtyard.

This snippet of rockwork is going in at both lands, though the orientation is different.
It seems too low to block anything of Muppets. All it seems to hide is an HVAC unit from the other side. I think trees will do most of the work hiding Muppets.
This can't be an entrance/exit for the land as it falls in the middle of the Battle Escape queue.

Indeed. The opening day space and land borders is a little misleading right now as they are using the area for staging. Expect roughly this to be filled in and inaccessible.

A walking trail with some props would have been a better option, but alas.
even a lush overflow area for queue would be better.
on Episode 176 of Disney Dish, Jim Hill and Len Testa reveal that initial tests of the Millennium Falcon attraction have resulted in more frustration than joy from test audiences who cite the high-stakes of the cooperation-based attraction which will allegedly ends if guests "crash" the ship.

well this makes no sense at all. isnt this ride suppose to be a centrifuge with mutliple cabs turning at same time?
if someone crashes the ship in one cab how are they suppose to end their experience while the rest of the cabs are still flying?
are those people in the crashed cab suppose just sit there until everyone else is done and its time to load and unload a full group

No centrifuge. Just a slowly moving turntable in order to move the cones into the the load and unload doors. But, same effect: every ride has to be roughly the same length of time.

I did say a "miniature version."
Taking another look at the patent image, it would be an ideal system to simulate riding a speeder bike.
I believe the speeder bike was rumored about four years back? I remember reading about it on @RSoxNo1 web site. I could be wrong?
That was the presumption initially when the patent surfaced. As depicted it looks like it would be a capacity nightmare, but with more vehicles on the platform it could work on a larger scale.

The plan is just what you said - the 'tourist' stuff is going to be outside the land in the shops on Hollywood Blvd. The stuff in the land is supposed to all be 'in universe'.

First world problems and all, but am I the only one who had a "meh" and a shrug of the shoulders seeing the "concept art" and the name? Oga's? IDK why I feel so underwhelmed. LOL. I love Rex is being re-invented here, but a DJ? Don't we have enough DJ's at this point running dance parties? lol. I know it's fitting and I'm selling it short maybe but IDK. I'd rather a real Cantina band. Rex can still DJ I guess. They must want Rex to be the Cosmic Ray of Star Wars Land. Not the worst idea.

It all seems fine enough to me. I actually think a DJ is a great way to integrate Rex into GE. Doesn't mean they can't have a live band occasionally, but I'm not anticipating that. It'd all likely be pre-recorded music anyways as it'd be really hard to play in costume. I'm not sure I'd want to see musicians actually playing in GE anyways - the instruments used in the GOTG show are fine but they're very obviously from earth and meant to look spacey/weird. I wouldn't want anything like that in GE, and this is coming from somebody who's an active gigging musician!

I'm really interested in the podracer restaurant, that looks fun.
