The Rex part is not new news.

The cantina name is just a character's name. It doesn't have to mean anything other than its Oga's bar.

Remember that this isn't 'Star Wars Land'. This is the planet Batuu in the Star Wars Galaxy. Everything is in that universe, that canon. So you can't have 'Chewie's Lunch Box', you have a person's bar. Like Maz's Castle in Episode 7.

I know the Rex part isn't news. I'm also just simply saying I don't care for the name Oga's ;) I was indifferent to it.


I just don't care for the name and I was underwhelmed by it. That's all :)

Was just trying to discuss it, wasn't really questioning it, so to speak.

I had no idea my post would get that kind of reaction. I'm still so confused. LOL.

I'm sorry it hurts the SW fans that live and breath this (I like SW and I'm super excited for this land) that I don't care either way about the name but it's really not a big deal. All I did was say it underwhelmed me :/ I'm not saying I had a better name in mind or anything. Just "meh". It wasn't a big deal ... It was just me posting about the instant reaction I had, that was all ... lol

yeah ray tracing.....something the 2080 ti cant even do in 4k at any normal frame rate but "just buy it" lol

Eh Ray tracing for consumers is a gimmick at this point, another benchmark tool if that. I still don't get why people are getting wrapped up in it right now. $5 says if you turn it off, it'll trump everything else out there. I'm getting a TI just to dump SLI 980s.

I'm with you @Kman101 . The Parks Blog description simply didn't get me excited or very interested. Other concept art and descriptions do. Is that so controversial?

The name (which actually does kinda matter) doesn't help. It'll catch on, I suppose. Remember how weird "iPad" sounded upon introduction?

Exactly. It didn't excite me or get me interested, was just simply an observation about the blog post. Like you, I was excited for other concept art and information, it just felt underwhelming, all things considered. I'm glad I'm not alone, I was being made to feel even crazier than I already am ;) I guess a restaurant isn't very exciting, it really told me nothing new besides the name. So it was just underwhelming. I'm glad they announced the name but meh. Sorry that bothers some, apparently.

And yep, the name matters. Very few will ever call it by anything other than "The Cantina" in "Star Wars Land".

I also found it a little lazy to have a DJ but I like Rex's inclusion. I'd rather a Cantina band. But I guess that's for private events.
