And a totally different layout. But hey.
It's in the dark Martin, I didn't make note of the layout, but, I did become very conscious of the fact that the difference between the to was hardly even measurable. You may go in there with blueprint in hand, I not only don't, but, I can't ever even conceive of doing anything like that. If it was good, I will go to it again, other then that I don't give a rats behind about directions, layout or anything other then the story line. I saw a lot of the same thing between the two rides, not the same characters, but, the story line was basically the same no matter what direction it was moving in.

Corrected, again. Explodes in "in doesn't matter", again.

Don't you get tired of either?

Sorry, but, it doesn't matter to me. I'm never sure what point you are trying to make when you think that proves any point. The thing is I grew up a long time ago and experienced many things in life that are important. You and others are deep into obsession with things that don't matter one iota in life. So carry on with useless observations and who knows maybe someday things will happen to you that do matter and you will see just how foolish your obsession is.

I didn't realize that any of these discussions were a contest that had to be won. You cannot accept that not everyone cares about it and that some of us are mature enough to enjoy or not enjoy aspects of the wonderful world of theme parks without necessarily falling into the line of obsession compulsion behavior. You have not succeeded in telling me that what I saw when I went on that ride was so reminiscent of Spiderman that it was all I could think about while on it was not how it appeared to me. I don't care what direction the track ran, if it went over two floors or a hundred, it was the over all experience that I was focusing on, not some detail like a floor level or other things that are peripheral to the experience.

Oh, and thanks again for proving that the only argument you ever have is one of putting other opinions and thought down. You do indeed succeed in that category. Life?... not so much! Don't you ever get tired of that?

Saw patent applications for E-11 style blasters on another news site. Looks like they’re exploring how to have visible lasers firing in prop blasters.

The point is that a lot of these things matter to other people and that is why they come to this forum to discuss it.

If it doesn't matter to you just move on instead of writing paragraphs about why it doesn't matter. :banghead:
OK, so let me get this right. I can discuss things only if they agree with what you think because otherwise I am putting thoughts in your head. Is that about right? I cannot explain why it doesn't matter because... I don't know... you may read it and say he's right? Look up discussion in some book or online I'm pretty sure that a discussion wherein everyone agrees will indeed be a short one. So, no I will continue to express my opinions and if you don't like them then you ignore them or me. Either one works for me, but, you will not dictate what my opinions will be. And I defy you to go to the beginning of this "discussion" and see where I said anything other then it seemed pretty much like the same story line to me, with different characters and different scene, but, still the same story. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Apologies to everyone, but I edited this post a couple of times due to accidentally prematurely hitting post. Also I edited for clarity one last time (again, for clarity/restructuring).

That new retention pond across World Drive looks MASSIVE!! I wonder why its so big?
They get really big really quick as every square foot of impenetrable surface requires so many cubic feet of runoff retention.
Is it stated anywhere what projects/changes the retention pond is offsetting? For instance, do we know how much of it is the new parking lot vs the cast parking lot vs the new experience/hotel?

It's almost a clone of Spider-man. Throw some different villains in front of you and they are interchangeable.
Actually there's a subtle but important difference. Since the majority of Spiderman takes place with left-to-right motion, the screens are flat. The only time there's curved screens is at the finale when forward motion needs to be simulated (a Cinerama-like effect). In Transformers, its reversed. Most of the time is simulated forward motion so the majority of the screens are curved. Also the "squish" doesnt work all that well on curved screens, so its why in Transformers you stop in front of the screen and/or slowly turn (like in Spiderman).
No. That would be silly.

I’ve only done that for Imageworks. And Innoventions. And Launch Bay.

It must be a testament to clever design and engaging storyline that the different layout, cul de sacs and two changes of floor level are well hidden.

I hesitate to get involved in an off-topic meta-discussion of our discussion, but I think it's important that we clear up misunderstandings.

I think it went off the rails with a misunderstanding of the importance of the layout differences. Specifically because of misunderstanding of why the massive "layout" changes are important to the ride feeling like a different ride despite the fact that it has the same ride system but different characters. I think the idea is that in general, the layout/pathing of two rides with the same ride system and two different stories/characters/IPs is critical to them being different. Take three different indoor, launched, steel tracked tubular roller coasters - RnRC, Tron, and GotG. It's the same ride system, and one can say that they feel very similar despite having different characters and stories, but it's really the "layout" that makes them different.

And I want to end with my opinion on how to improve our discussions here. I think the idea is that it is great to share opinions about specific rides and ride features (for instance), but it's generally bad form to say that what someone else cares about doesn't matter. That's almost a personal attack on values. I.e. Your values don't matter, the only things that matter are my values. I kinda feel like there should be less attacking of other people's taste here. If we all agree to let other people have their own opinions and values rather than attacking them all the time, we will all be happier going forward.

Not likely. It would be on the civil engineering pages of the plan if it is anywhere.
