Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

Are the ATATs going to be completely static? Or will the cockpit portion move and change views, as if it is following you.

They certainly looked static in their construction, and that isn't likely to change.
I'm quite certain though that we will be moving possibly vertically up or down when we come across them.
I'm imagining a big reveal with them possibly firing.

Again, I’ve heard nothing about AAs.

I believe the ATATs will be presented as unmanned.
It seemed pretty clear from how the ATATs were build that they weren't going to be animated (despite Disney putting out a video implying movement). But geez, I was sure I'd heard there would be AAs in this attraction. Was I imagining that?

They will. Alcatraz has three main pre shows plus the queue - a queue much like FoP in execution. There’s only two floors mind. Bird has two but again also a very elaborate, themed queue environment.
Does Disney see Battle Escape as the “main” attraction and Falcon as the “secondary”?
Or are they both meant to be equals?

I think the Falcon is the ride that, if it were missing, everyone would balk, hard core and fair weathered fan alike. Of course there should be some sort of space flight simulator, and of course a legitimate Star Wars land should have a replica of the the Millenium Falcon. So it's there basically to demonstrate credibility.

Battle Escape should be the genuinely creative Star Wars ride that gives you more of a taste of what it would be like to actually be in a Star Wars plot, facing the large scale threats from Empire/First Order that normally could only exist in a movie.

Personally I’d put Alcatraz above Big Bird (as good as the latter will be). But that’s just me.

I think the Falcon weenie will balance out the draw of the general public. I dare say officially both are equals.

I believe it is static.

Even if it weren’t it couldn’t just "follow you" due to its location in the ride.
Where is the strobe light and fan going to go?:p I have no problem with screens. To me they provide a much more believable experience then a bunch of robots. I like the AA's too, but, not for something that has to be this fast moving in order to show realism.

At this point, I don't even care. I want out of SLI and am willing to drop a grand (plus the cost of a waterblock) on a new card that will crush my 980s. Just imagine if I went triple SLI like my original plans were. There was an article today that said something about the 1185 being $1400-1500. But judging by the name, that would outrank a TI. And on top of that, I won't trust an article on costs until it's officially launched. Prices have changed at the last second based on "rumors".

Or just hope AMD gets their GPU act together and launches something that can compete. That would invalidate my G-Sync setup though.
I hate the crypto craze. It was a neat little side hobby when it was small and now it's a giant mess.

it was everybody's side hobby hope your all proud.
I don't expect a huge performance jump why would they? there current stuff cant stay on shelves there no incentives to make something super fast for the consumer. the current line up is better than the AMD offerings. new silicone is a given but they might pull an Intel. you know all NEW AWEEEESOME....except it's not any better?

Things we have seen within Imperial type facilities and may hope to see in Battle Escape:
Hangar (Check)
Bridge (Not confirmed, but I and others believe we've seen this in the construction.)
Detention Block (where boring conversations happen)
Trash Compactors (Dianoga!)
Tractor Beams (and the perilous perches from which they are shut down)
Conference Rooms (where bickering is pointless)
Throne rooms
Meditation Chambers (Meditation for Darth, Kylo uses his for tantrums)
Interrogation rooms (with scary chairs and visits from the ominous Dr. Ball)
Lots of rail-less catwalks over endless chasms
Pill lights
Mouse Droids
Laundry room (see Last Jedi or Hardware Wars)
Engines (so big you can fly a ship through them)
Exhaust Port (right below the main port)

Think about the HoP. If you consider all of the presidents that are not Lincoln, Washington, or Trump to be AA’s, then Alcatraz will have a veritable ****ton. If not, then just a handful.

This is a great analogy to make. It's sometimes easy to forget that even in our favorite AA heavy attractions, not all of them are the hero featured quality versions with the latest compliance tech and range of motion.

In Alcatraz, there will be plenty of things to see while you are storming around the various scenes in your LPS troop transport.

While set's could always be bigger and they could be filled with more practical things like AA's, I think this ride will strike a good balance between practical and virtual. I know Martin said Transformers is a good analogy on many levels (pun intended), I think if using Universal's newest generation of E caliber rides, Spider-Man would be a closer fit to what Alcatraz is going for. I've always believed that Spider-man is their best attraction at blending the balance between the various technologies it uses and assuming it goes according to plan - we will see that same level of integration on the destroyer.

I can't wait for the showstopping final set piece in the conference room. "On Star Wars: First Order Escape, board your transport and strap in for a thrilling race through the inner workings of an imperial star destroyer, culminating in an incredible deliberation over the taxation of trade routes to outlying star systems"

Alcatraz will be a ride that's inspired by the old Universal Studios Hollywood Battlestar Galactica. Animated Cylons were mixed in with live action figures 'shooting' at the unsuspecting riders on the Trams. Their 'spaceship' later became the 'subway station' in the Earthquake attraction!
