Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

If this land is cannon, when does it take place?
Thinking about this a little bit more... It's getting complicated. Either WDI isn't trying to make the place TOTALLY canon, or they weren't given important information from Rian Johnson about what happens in Episode 8.
So as I noted before, Kylo's mask and Poe's x-wing are both destroyed early on in Ep. 8. Since both those things have appeared in attraction concept art (and because 8 takes place immediately after 7) I concluded that the land is set just before 7.

HOWEVER! The Millennium Falcon is supposed to not have flown for years as it sits in Unkar Plutt's junk yard. And yet there it is, in Batuu, somehow connected to a Hondo-related adventure. Is Rey simply wrong about her assessment of the Falcon? Unlikely - she seems to know the linage of who has owned it for the past 4 owners by heart! Or do both Kylo and Poe get a replacement mask and a replacement x-wing, respectively, sometime after 8?

Or is one part of the land pre-7 while the other part is post-8?

Diagon Ally and Hogsmede over in Universal both take place in different times of the Harry Potter series, plus the fact that both rides, especially Gringotts, present a non-cannon spin on events from the films so its not hard to think that SW:GE could play fast and loose with the cannon.

Disney would never play fast and loose with the canon <<cough cough Episode 8>>

Texted my son-in-law the photos of the Falcon, X-wings and entrance to SW:GE. His response:

"Oh be still my heart.. they're gonna have to carry me out of the Falcon in a stretcher".

So glad I told my daughter she could marry anyone...as long as he was as rabid a SW fan as her mom....
