Man.. giving me the feels to see all that area razed.
But then I remember how the tour was just a skeleton of its former self.
Then I remembered the osborne lights..

Photo update as of Saturday, Mar 4. Going vertical in Star Wars Land with above ground rebar (two red circles) where the Streets of America used to be, to the right of the Muppets theater. I've been watching the foundation going in for several weeks, now it's above ground.

In the "in case you missed it" department, those large trees at the end of Pixar Place (seen here in the left center of the below photo) are all containerized. These trees were moved into place shortly after the construction wall was installed last year, to hide the ongoing construction as it rises above the wall.

So I have been watching the DL star wars construction and noticed a circular section that is recessed into the ground. Have they started doing that yet at DHS? I wonder what it's for? Is it some sort of mechanical room for a large rotating platform for loading/unloading?

You can see it here in this video for Disney Land where they have started constructing the mega building for this attraction.

No the circular foundation work has not yet begun as DHS. We seem to be about 2-3 months behind Disneyland's progress. We might start seeing some of that work in the next month or so.

Ya know, it looks like they could just link up Star Tours with SWL and have Muppet Courtyard be some doorway into that courtyard leading to some alternate dimension. Could even have had a small incline down into MC starting from Drive-In and a bigger over pass starting from Star Tours entrance.

But alas, not meant to be.

They've recently had a bit of an epiphany with regards to this problem. There is going to be a new Star Wars Story movie where we learn that most of the Muppets were part of a incompetent yet strangely effective X-Wing squadron. Once they are incorporated into the fictional universe, the problem is resolved. They'll be some space, time travel at the end of the movie where they wind up on present day earth and can only earn money as entertainers.
