Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

And it's released close to when they've announced and shown off Star Wars Land. We've already seen people come in here with stories of people they know thinking it's open. You said it yourself above.

Right, I'm just pointing out the ads don't suggest it at all. And, to be fair to Disney, I think the proximity of the different media releases is a function of trying to build off the hype of The Force Awakens and Star Wars coming back as a regular film offering. I mean, in the wake of Episode VII doing so amazing, why wouldn't they plan/announce a major park expansion involving Star Wars and also expand the current offerings of the IP in the parks (and advertise that)?

The conflating of the two by less informed guests is to be expected and probably not unwelcome by Disney, but probably isn't the explicit goal of their advertising approach.

@danlb_2000 Thanks for posting a great, clear picture. This has been asked before. Is there anyway you could give us an idea where everything will go once complete. It's a huge chunk of land and I know a lot of it will be backstage / rockwork / berm. I just wanted to ask before people start to say " I can't believe they are only putting two rides in SWL with all of that land" Thank you. And once again, thanks for posting / making sense of permits / photos on this site.

I've stuck a plan up, possibly further back in this thread.
