I am worried about the transitions in this park going forward. If all buildings are not redone I don't know how the studio feel fits in going forward in these lands. The big show buildings in the other areas of the park will need to be redone right?

If the new park theme is being in the movies rather than making the movies, then the old studio theme can still technically fit. It's not that big a shift in theming.

Surely, going forward, when there are major updates, they'll have no remorse about bulldozing a studio-looking building for new attractions. Until then, they do kinda fit Hollywood and Sunset Blvds. Until new 'lands' take them over -- which is many years away -- they're just fine as is.

"Redone" will certainly be a very loose term. Some may simply be repainted with additional trees hiding the view long-term as they grow in. Some may get a new facade. (I'm thinking the TSMM from the current back when viewed from the new TSL, and Muppet Vision.) Over all, there are not that many. Toy Story, Great Movie, Sci-fi Dine-in, and Muppet Vision are the only ones I can think of where the buildings are painted the same and look like studio buildings. I'm sure something will be done, but I doubt we'll see it happen until either much later in construction, or even after some new spaces open.

TSMM will have a new façade, GMR will be obstructed from view, same for most of Muppets (remaining will be loosely redone like the main entrance's reno. Sci-Fi is in a place where it barely matters. Lastly RnRC is also in a studio Building, just expect a removal of the Studio sign, same for Disney Junior.

Just while you mention the topic, have you heard anything else regarding changes to RnRC/the Disney Junior show and area?

Ironic, especially since Kodak developed the first digital camera back in 1975 ...... Weighing 8 pounds!
When you think about the position that Kodak was in just 30 years ago, it should, without a doubt highlight why companies have to be willing to change to stay with public demand. No one back then would have imagined that Kodak would go under. They were to big to fail.

My guess is the competition went to Kodak's attraction in WDW called Imagination where they saw the Kodak digital as "one little spark of inspiration" and went on to develop it into massive success. Kodak on the other hand was to busy trying to figure out a way to cut costs on their inspirational pavilion. Now that is ironic.

It's a number of posts down than page... from none other than Jimmy Thick.

It is indeed far-fetched. Credible people on here have laid out the general system of both rides (and Jimmy Thick is not credible!). Additionally, Disney revealed general details and a short computer-generated clip of each, and they both do not seem like rollercoasters.

I agree that we don't need to have three simulator rides, so with what we know in mind, I am hoping that the battle escape ride is not too too screen-heavy.

As for your comment about exiting the vehicle... the rumor is/was for the battle escape attraction, not the millenium falcon one.

It would be neat if the battle escape attraction had you equipped with some sort of gun where you could shoot the animatronics as part of a mission. Ride the vehicle to get into a base, you and your team get off and blast your way through a bunch of storm troopers and then reboard your vehicle. Would be a fun immersive concept. (like lazer tag, but only MUCH better)

It would, but also pretty much unviable in this environment.
