I'm sure this is detailed out somewhere in this megathread, and so I do apologize for being a bit out of the loop here/possibly asking a stupid question, but can someone help clarify something for me?

In the initial press releases for SWL, I thought Disney referred to two new attractions, one of which was the Falcon ride and one was something else that was, if memory serves, left pretty vague. Do we know anything about this "other" attraction? Coaster? Dark ride? Simulator? Something they planned to do at one point but will probably never get around to? ;)
The Battle attraction. The big one.

The battle between the first order and the resistance. right now its believed to be a dark ride similar to the amazing spider man at Uni, but im not sure if enough is known to confirm that.

Could be wrong, but I believe I the 2nd attraction has been confirmed to be based on the sequel trilogy and involves a battle with the First Order against the Resistance.

The attraction will be an LPS trackless ride system a la Mystic Manor, Ratatouille, Pooh's Hunny Hunt. So says everyone in the know.
Don't know much about ride engineering. But if they were somehow able to make a trackless system that could go upside down to simulate flight through space or something, that would truly blow my mind.

I don't think they would be able to, but it probably doesn't matter since the brief scenes we've seen indicate this ride will be set indoors IMHO. Though the show building is supposed to be massive, so maybe different scenes would be flying in space.

In terms of the LPS tech, how much movement can they have? Is it possible for them to stop on (and attach to) a base that can move significantly during more intensive scenes?
