No, it should matter.
Yeah. I'm sad at this news. It's basically a slightly longer Barnstormer now. And while two launches will be fun, the ride will struggle to last more than a minute. All those trenches and extensive rock work were the silver lining.

It indeed looks like SWL was moved. Now it makes sense why LMA was sacrificed out of the blue and Indy remains. No phase 3 now?

I sure hope not. The park needs one more good land to help balance the park, but it will not surprise me if they decide not to do anything.

This is the reason you can never be too optimistic with Disney these days. It's really unfortunate. I hope phase 3 still happens in some form.

In all honesty this could of been the artwork from back in 2014. There has been at least half a dozen versions of this land as there as been of SWL

SWL hasn't changed neither has the location of phase 3.

The costing of pieces around Slinky Dog Coaster was getting a bit silly - so I could understand WDI wanting to cut those as well as expensive rock work to speed up construction of the land as a whole.

So if the new concept art for TSL is possibly implying SWL going down where LMA is located. What happens to Star Tours? It doesn't make much sense to have it separate from the rest of SWL. Could it be re themed to something in the rumoured 3rd phase?

star tours will kind of be connected. it will be in the front left with muppets tucked behind it.

Heck in disneyland star tours is in fantasyland and star wars land is in the back of the park

I always kind of doubted the whole they are clearing out the back of the park to stage something they were going to build in the front. didn't make sense.

The area in question:

And the Slinky Dog does indeed look like it's had the Seven Dwarves Coaster treatment:

So that definitely looks like Star Wars is going into the LMA action.

Disappointed that Slinky lost the elevation changes with the ditches and such. Hopefully they will add some more themed elements back in to have it match the original art more. I know some will say that its only concept art but every time we see changes like this it turns out that the original stuff was cut.

Since we are now noticing more about the differences, the one thing that I noticed is that the area that appears to have outside seating seems bigger and has trees for some shading.

Also, I don't think that the coaster looks shorter in length. It would be a shorter ride though if it does have a launch to start as to opposed to slowly climbing a hill. Would this increase throughput at all or would it essentially stay the same?

People keep jumping to that conclusion, but that looks like trees from the Endor which has no relation to what we have seen in the Star Wars Land concept art. Not saying people are wrong, but we might be jumping to a conclusion on flimsy evidence.

Jumping to conclusions? Sure. But it's not flimsy. It's new concept art displayed at a construction site. And we have known something was going on with the DHS remodel for awhile. If anything, this is the first bit of concrete evidence showing SOMETHING will be built over LMA. Either we have a confirmed third land or a confirmed SWL move. Either case is significant.

Moving SWL would save money if they no longer wish to build on a parking lot, would be faster appeasing park OPs and guests, and would allow easier isolation of the 24 acres of construction from guest areas. Slap some new shows in the buildings up front in the park and you have shaved $1bn off you park remodel.

I hope this isn't the case. But ducks are starting to line up.
