And there you have it. If this ride ends up being like what it's rumored to be, then it won't be worthy of a $100+ admission fee to DHS 2.0. Thankfully, I'm remaining positive and in hope that the ride will be the best possible experince that it can be.

But what you WONT get at an arcade is immersive and hyper detailed theming, putting you right in the middle of the action. there's a massive difference between star tours and those simulators at chuckie cheese

I think they are saying VR headset.
Ok. I thought he was talking about an actual insider rumor and I missed something. The headset thing was just someone here saying they thought based on the attached article it could be that. I don't think it will, but we have a while to wait to find out.

I agree, I love Star Tours and I know that it's much more advanced. It's just that if the Milenium Falcon attraction has you wearing a VR headset, then where would the immersive and hyper detailed theming be? The queue?

Well that's a relief.

Star Wars does not need a new simulator ride. The hope we have now for Star Wars Land rides is that one of the rides will be like a trackless technology ride like at Disneyland Paris with their Ratatouille ride. If that is true, then the ride will be Disney World's first trackless technology ride.

Based on the limited info we have so far it looks like the other ride could be something that would be able to utilize that ride system. The MF ride is almost certainly going to be a simulator of some kind.

Exactly! But maybe less like Ratatoulille and more like Pooh's Hunny Hunt or Mystic Manor if you get where I'm coming from. *cough* practical effects *cough*

VE headsets would be so capacity inefficient for anything. Like a couple hundred people an hour? What a nightmare that would be. There's no way they would go that route.
