The Battle attraction isn't really going to be a thrill-based E-ticket. Well, it will certainly be thrilling, but not because the vehicles are throwing you around. I think from a movement perspective it will be more tame than Spiderman. I'm trying to think... Mr. Toad's Wild Ride might be the most apt North American comparison. Pooh's Hunny Hunt also gets a little bit (but not too much) excitement in the Heffalumps scene.

It will also still be chalk full of practical effects. As I mentioned, I really think the 'Disney fan' will be very satisfied with this one.

The show building is just so outrageously huge, I do wonder how long ride time will be.

Sadly though, rides are following the same path. The screen than set then screen then set. Whoever breaks this pattern will deserve all the attention. But I'm looking forward to the holographic technology mentioned previously according to a patent. I'm assuming your referring to the micechat map? If so, the MF building looks too small for what's been discussed.

True, I understand that they need to use screens, but some of the stuff that you shoot at should be physical.

Based on the concept of the Millennium Falcon ride, though, I think it would be pretty difficult to have a lot of physical effects. I mean, are they going to build a replica of a Tie Fighter or planet? Based on what I've read, I'd expect some physical effects but the main bulk of the ride will be screens just due to the concept and how best to execute it. Still, if there is significant interaction/control from the riders and if the ride vehicle physically moves from place to place, then this has the potential to be a great experience and relatively unique.

I would think things like hangers and such would be practical, then any flying sequences like hyperspace would be in screens. The nice thing about screens is, if they break, you can't just put a strobe on it :p
