Star Wars Land announced for Disney's Hollywood Studios

I know, but they can be pretty ridiculous at times and they're pretty resistant against stuff from the Disney parks. Star Wars Weekends has been deleted twice and they deleted an article on Star Wars Land because "We don't know how it'll affect canon yet"
They do recognize RX-24, the former pilot of Star Tours. Of course this is possibly only because he made an appearance on the Rebels animated show. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/RX-24

They're willing to recognize the Star Tours incarnations, and those get a lot of references internally in Star Wars in general, not just Rex.
Well, ultimately, i'm not too worried what Wookiepedia wants to include or consider canon... because they aren't the deciders of that.

Whether SWL will be considered canon or not is something that i'm sure will get asked by media as it gets close to opening, but I don't really care much either way tbh.

That's what I was thinking. Besides many other uses of it by Disney as a theatre, one thing that came to mind was where it's listed as a planet in the Space Mountain queue.

We need something "Star Wars", not off the shelf. And keep in mind, SWL will be canon in the Universe as well if i'm not mistaken.

Hyperion is one of the moons of Saturn. There's also an extensive Greek mythology behind the name.

A couple notes about the Disneyland MiceChat update that may relate to DHS.

Here is the layout at Disneyland:

Good news concerning queues "Bob Weis is also being tasked with making the two big E Tickets for Star Wars land memorable and immersive, with a sudden return to winding and elaborately decorated indoor queues and entertaining pre-show lobbies that Imagineering perfected in the classic EPCOT Center pavilions of the 1980’s."

Cool. Our layout is obviously a bit different due to Star Tours and the placement of the Cantina. Nuts and bolts should be similar, though. And that "future expansion" may be a fourth Star Wars ride that we get pretty soon after the Falcon and LPS rides open.

I would say that this confirms that Star Tours is not considered one of the new attractions for the area. I know some people were afraid it would be one of the two but I definitely don't see that happening.

A few things: 1. I wish MK would get an expansion like that. My hope beyond any reality is Sleepy Hollow, obviously not that big but still.
2. Star Wars is really going to stick out like a sore thumb there. It seems to dwarf quite a few of the lands already there.
3. I assume Star Tours is staying put over there? If so, how awkward is that? A whole Star Wars Land but one ride is on another side of the park in a different land?
4. I like this Bob Weis guy if that's all true. Maybe he can give some love to Epcot at some point?

2. The article at Micechat says that the way the land Is being designed, you will not even know it's there until you actually enter the land.

Oopsie. EPCOT Center was infamous for some of the blandest queues ever.

This is so short sighted.
