I switched my avatar because I actually had one of those giant phones around 1991-1994, when I was still in corporate life and living on the East Coast. That phone in my avatar is definitely from the early 1990's.

But maybe that avatar cuts a little too close to home and I should go back to being Roger Sterling?

Since we all think of you as Roger Sterling, it would be easier on OUR brains, but you do you.

Since the secret is out that I am pretty close to Roger Sterling in more ways than one, and once we reach cruising altitude I push that stewardess call button and ask for a Scotch on the rocks, I'm just going back to my avatar roots.

I apologize for getting too meta by too literally channeling me circa 1992 with that other businessman brick phone avatar.

Now desperately trying to get back OT, here's the latest Star Wars views from the top of Tarzan's Treehouse...

Does anyone want to venture a guess at the over/under of them using Batuu as a backdrop for a story in one of the new shows coming out in the next couple years? I know they have already used it in the books, but it would be interesting if they use it in one of the shows. And then if the story line from the show makes it way back into the land on either coast.

Why do y'all hate smokers so much?

we Don't hate the people just the actions of some of them. aside from the smell of second hand smoke, The smoking areas most of the times have people spread out and stand right in the middle of the path and blow their smoke towards the guest walking areas. Aside from that the most disgusting thing is that 99.9% of the time there are ashtrays or some kind of disposal bin for the cigarette but many of the smokers just decide to throw them on the floor.

Disney just needs to find a place to please them but at the same time remember the masses of the crowd and keep them away from the non smokers that walk those paths.
The worst smoking areas within Disneyland and DCA are right in the middle of main walking paths or near them. In DCA, the gorgeous grizzley trail that takes you near the waterfalls and some of the best parts of the park gets inundated by smokers that feel they own the whole path and spread out.

Maybe Disney should consider putting a smoking lounge in the second floor of innoventions. They can set up a drink and snack station and it would keep smokers away from the walking paths. The profit from the drinks and snacks would help offset the cost of setting up the area.

Nah, its almost 2019 just ban smoking completely in all the parks. If you want to smoke go do it outside in the esplanade or before you get to the parks. This includes all vaping and even "bud" related products (unless there is a medical need of course, but even then there are drops and such).

Keep your eyes on http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Batuu

It'll alert you for any mention of Batuu. Apparently, there was an Batuu Easter Egg in a recent Rebels episode.

Yep I was aware of the site and of the episode of "Resistance" that showed the picture. I'm willing to go out on a limb and say there is a better than 75% chance of there being an episode using Batuu as a backdrop for a story on one of these new shows.

i think they should sell "bud related brownies in the queue for IASW. It would definitely make the ride more fun

@CydonPrax - Point these out to David, would you? He's willing to give his left arm for something other than the same old rock work.

I’m a non smoker whose pro smoking. Adults should be free to do whatever they want as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else. Brief whiffs of second hand smoke in open areas are a mild nuisance. The carbon emissions from your car have more lasting effects on my long term health than your cigarettes do.

The locations they chose suck. Especially at DCA.

I have such virgin nostrils and lungs that I could smell the smoke as we passed the Big Thunder Trail on the DLRR.

All smoking areas should be confined to Tomorrowland and Pixar Pier.

What makes me mad is the hipster vape guys that don't think they are smoking as they walk down the middle of Main Street puffing out white clouds of sicken sweet smells. It's just as bad a real cigarettes and under the same rules. Second hand vape smoke kills too.
