I’m a non smoker whose pro smoking. Adults should be free to do whatever they want as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else. Brief whiffs of second hand smoke in open areas are a mild nuisance. The carbon emissions from your car have more lasting effects on my long term health than your cigarettes do.

I would only ask, why do the rights of the smoker to "do whatever they want" outweigh the rights of the non-smoker to not be around it? And I would call it more than an mild nuisance, especially to those that have respiratory issues that can be triggered by cigerette smoke.

So this is what Bob had to say today on Star Wars Land

Well, on the Star Wars Lands, these are the biggest lands that we've ever built. And in both cases, not only are they big in size and scale, they are huge in ambition in terms of both the experience that we aim to create, meaning the immersive experience, as well as the specific experiences people will have and the attractions namely in both cases too, very, very innovative and we believe compelling and exciting e-ticket attractions. And so, we think that they're going to have a major impact. And Disneyland -- clearly, it's the biggest thing that we've ever done at Disneyland since it opened in 1955. And we think it's going to drive huge increase in demand and we're going to have some interesting challenges on our hands to manage that demand, but that's a good problem to have.

And then in Florida, we have four parks, Star Wars Land there is going into the Studios Park -- the Hollywood Studios Park, where we opened Toy Story Land not that long ago. And we've aimed to actually grow the attendance to that park, which has lagged a bit over the last number of years, because we haven't invested anything that is even this close to size or scale or of compelling nature of it. So we think in both cases, they will have a dramatic impact positively on both businesses.

Acknowledging the issues Disneyland will face, and calls both attractions E-tickets.

If you don't like it, you can leave. That's how freedom works.

That said, I'm 100% in support of Disney banning smoking within the parks.

I never said second hand smoke isn’t bad for you. I would never live with a smoker or work in an establishment that allowed smoking or sit in a car with someone who is smoking and wouldn’t even ride in the car of a smoker who is not smoking because I wouldn’t want my clothes to smell like smoke. My original statement was that the emissions from your car have more impact on MY health than cigarettes do. I very infrequently am exposed to secondhand smoke and when I am I take a couple of breaths and move away from it. All of the facts you posted about second hand smoke are the result of long term exposure to second hand smoke. The carbon dioxide from all of our cars pump toxins into the air that effect every breath we take.

All that said

I wish Disney would move the smoking areas to more discrete locations. Until they do I won’t shame or judge someone for making a different choice for their life than I’ve made.

Poisoning your body and endangering everyone around you is not a life choice. It's a drug addiction that should be dealt with medically and psychologically. All addictions are bad. They take away your freedom of choice. Considering the cost to society and human toll, it should be banned completely from the parks and all public spaces.

In a totally unsurprising move, Disney's new streaming service will feature another live action Star Wars series. This one will focus on the character Cassian Andor (from Rouge One incase you've forgotten).

Oh, also the streaming service is now being called Disney+
Keep reaching for the creative heights Disney execs!

From D23.com:
"Lucasfilm is developing a second Star Wars live-action series for Disney+, in addition to the already-announced series, The Mandalorian, to be executive produced by Jon Favreau. The series will follow the adventures of Rebel spy Cassian Andor, a role originated in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story by Diego Luna, who will star in the new series as well. “Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me,” said Luna. “I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.” The new series, which will be set during the formative years of the Rebellion and prior to the events of the 2016 film, goes into production next year and is described as a “rousing spy thriller [that] will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire.”

The show sounds interesting.

I'm not sure what you want them to call the streaming service that would be more creative. The naming was expected since ESPN+ was released earlier this year.

ESPN+ is their sports streaming service
Disney+ is their family entertainment streaming service including Disney Studios, Marvel, Pixar and Lucas.
Hulu will probably be used for all other properties such as Fox related content.

Those all probably took the same amount of time to create. Heck, even DisneyPlay was a better choice.

Disney+ is simple, memorable, easy to say and write, something that most Internet services strive for. Believe it or not there is a process that that goes into naming products, especially for apps.

DisneyPlay makes sense given its a game app, again simple and memorable.

Is it really that memorable? I see it as something that's easily mistaken for another of the many plus named services out there. It's simple but it also blends into all the other options. I'll certainly be using the service but I just wish they went with something more unique and that screamed Disney.
