Add it to the growing list of evidence: receiving a discounted Canadian Ticket offer that is valid up until May 23rd, 2019.

Typically they have been valid indefinitely or at least through the year they are purchased. If I get a WDW one that ends in November that would be even more helpful.

Update: WDW’s is valid through Sept 27, 2019.

Both dates sound reasonable as goal placeholders for ‘ideal opening timeframes’.

May for DL, Oct for WDW... but if it slips to June and November that also wouldn’t be surprising.

I've never liked the interactive rides at Disney. This goes for the laser tag ride, the Toy Story screen ride where you have to stroke the thing off and Mission: Space with that guy telling you to push buttons. I'm here to ride a ride, not do crap with a button, especially if it isn't fun. The gold standard of interactivity at Disney is seeing yourself in the mirror on Haunted Mansion. Universal has had them beat with these shooting rides since MIB opened. It's actually fun and a scenic dark ride.

I do enjoy Midway Mania, but for the most part I agree with you. These rides tend to become more about the novelty of the interactivity rather than the quality of the story and experience.

It may be open for previews but we know the grand opening won’t be in May as the So Cal APs are not blacked out.

Grand Opening, certainly not. But May would be a great time to offer preview packages of $500 to $1000 when all the AP’s can already get into the park easily.

Then you have the big Grand Opening on Memorial Day Weekend when most AP’s are blocked out.

Right, previews in May are a definite possibility. Don’t think we ll see a grand opening on Memorial Day weekend when So Cal APs can get in the day after since they’re not blocked out until June. Dont see why they would blackout all the lower tiers the entire summer due to SWL but give them those 4 days at the end of May to ensure that DL is a mad house during the first week of operation with SWL open to the masses.

Here's the latest look at the Backside of Star Wars Land, which you don't get to see on the Jungle Cruise.

From the nice kids at westcoaster.net https://www.westcoaster.net/home/2018/8/27/disneyland-resort-update-mystery-of-the-haunted-non-hotel

Even wide shots like this don't do it justice, this land is HUGE!

I really thinking WDW's will be delayed further than expected. December opening *might* even be pushing the envelope a bit..

However, I'd much rather delays than a rushed process.

Oga’s Cantina Coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in 2019

by Scott Trowbridge, Portfolio Creative Executive, Walt Disney Imagineering

No self-respecting remote outpost on the edge of the galaxy would call itself a smuggler’s planet without a cantina, and Black Spire Outpost is no exception. Today, I’m pleased to share more details for Oga’s Cantina, which will be serving pilots, bounty hunters, smugglers, locals and galactic travelers alike, when it opens in 2019.

Visitors come to this notorious local watering hole to unwind, conduct shady business, and maybe even encounter a friend…or a foe. Run by an intriguing alien proprietor, Oga Garra, the cantina adheres to a strict code of conduct that tries to keep its unruly patrons in check. But with a history of being a smugglers’ safe haven and a popular stopping point for those seeking to avoid the authorities, you can bet that the cantina has a story or two to tell.

Oga’s Cantina is the kind of establishment that attracts some of the most interesting and disreputable characters in the galaxy. And you never know when a stormtrooper or a familiar face will show up. Patrons of the cantina come from across the galaxy to sample the famous concoctions created with exotic ingredients using “otherworldly” methods, served in unique vessels. With choices for kids and libations for adults, the cantina will make for a great stop!

Musical entertainment is provided courtesy of RX-24, the former StarSpeeder 3000 pilot droid we first met in Star Tours, who has re-envisioned himself as the cantina’s DJ. As quirky and talkative as ever, he’s still trying to do his best on the job.

Get ready to listen to some unique music, taste the best drinks in the galaxy, and surround yourself with a colorful cast of characters. You never know what will happen at the cantina!

Alcohol not confirmed but pretty much confirmed. Glad we got the name of the place. Hope we can get more names for shops, restaurants, and attractions soon.

The OC Register has confirmed that the Cantina will serve alcohol. From the sounds of it beer, wine, and cocktails will only be at the table-service restaurant (for now, at least), not at quick service locations. I suspect that other table-service restaurants elsewhere in the park will add at least beer and wine around the same time, but that's just a hunch.

Visitors who want to get a drink can only find one inside the new Star Wars land’s Oga’s Cantina, among aliens, from a special menu of proprietary beer, wine and outer space themed cocktails. They must be consumed inside the cantina only, leaving the rest of the park alcohol-free, except for the exclusive private Club 33, which also offers liquor to its members.
