No... unfortunately.

Not yet. Maybe not ever from that location. But maybe someday at Blue Bayou. Alcohol Service has spread at WDW Magic Kingdom, starting at Be Our Guest, but it's still limited compared to non-castle parks.

The question now is whether the SW:GE Cantina will serve alcohol (my guess is yes). Next, will it spread within DL Park and, if so, how, when, and where. I have posted previously that I think there may eventually be beer and wine at table service and "buffeteria" (Zocalo, Plaza Inn, etc.), but not at quick service and probably not liquor. But Blue Bayou is an open question. And definitely not "roaming" like DCA (the fluorescent green plastic cups you see around the park).

Those are my best guesses, but only time will tell.

Yeah I think their will be alcohol at the Star Wars cantina. I also think the their should definitely be a way to get some booze at the Blue Bayou and other table service locations but I wouldn’t just limit it to beer and wine. A few signature cocktails would be nice. Like a mint julep with bourbon.

They re good. Not amazing but much better than they used to be. I think they had already switched over by last June. It’s clear now, not full of nasty green mint syrup. They put some fresh mint, slice of lemon and then some artificial flavor I believe.

Yeah, I think his was clear. I had a sip of it, I think.

I’m pretty sure I don’t understand what I’m watching and that this is impressive but will it still look like a video game when it’s finished?

I'm thinking it's going to be kind of like Star Tours, but controllable. So yes, basically a super immersive large scale Star Wars video game.

It's been said that the ride will be projected in 4k and to my knowledge that at least is an improvement over Star Tours. I'd expect that technological advancements in the near decade that separates the attractions would provide other visual improvements as well.

Not only that the ability to control The Millennium Falcon is what will make it a must see experience for me. It's like Star Wars Autopia.

The controlling aspect of the Falcon is definitely my biggest concern with it. If I'm stuck in the Falcon with a random family, and there's some little kid piloting, and he ends up crashing it right after take off, is my ride going to be over? Is the Falcon ride basically just going to be even more of a glorified video game than TSMM? I'm hoping these aren't the cases, but they're definitely in the front of my mind with this attraction.

Let's hope the ride has a ride height minimum of 60" lol

I’m almost 100% sure this won’t be a possibility. I don’t think they want 50% or more of guests complaining about the ride experience especially after waiting hours. However, this doesn’t mean that some kid crashing the ship (repeatedly) won’t lead to a less than ideal experience. I’m pretty sure ride time will be the same regardless of what happens on the journey.

Well, the ride length will have to be identical because you have to get around the turntable/carousel to the exit position.

Pre alpha test footage of the Millennium Falcon attraction.

Wow. So I assume the cockpit pods revolve into these dome theaters for the main show? Then the cockpits revolve back to the load/unload portion that is mocked up like the rest of the Falcon and you get out through the ship before a new batch of riders boards?

And yet, if this is all supposed to be such top secret stuff, why the heck is Walt Disney Imagineering geeking out with their new toys at Show N' Tell sessions for Fullerton Junior College kids and not asking them to check their iPhones at the door? And now it's on YouTube on a Tuesday night and speeding its way around the Internet to every Star Wars fan on the planet? Seems really stupid of Imagineering and Glendale executives if you ask me.

Even then, though, if you get some pilot who spins the Falcon to the point of you want to throw up, it's going to be a problem. I think, ultimately, they can't allow for more than one party in the cockpit. I know that'll slow down lines, but I'd rather wait a little longer than have a terrible ride experience. I will say that being able to control the Falcon will be tons of fun when you're in the cockpit with just friends. I can definitely see this ride being one that groups go on over and over again just to mess around, especially if you can kamikaze into Star Destroyer.

I believe your "dome theater" revolves with you. IOW, when you board your cockpit you already see the hanger bay out the windows, as opposed to the "blast screen" that must be lowered in Star Tours.

NOTE: This is my conjecture--not any kind of coyly referenced "insider" report I have been privy to. There has been a lot of speculation on this starting with the extrapolation from the "screen wheels" in Harry Potter #1 to a larger scale.
