They are doing the reservation system until June 23 so the max number of people in the land is limited. There’s no standby line for the land or the rides. I don’t expect tomorrow’s reviews to be much different. June 24th could be the more interesting date. @donsullivan is going to be there that day so we’ll get at least 1 firsthand account of the “chaos”.
Depends what their max capacity is for the land. It has a first come first serve at open and as it fills they virtual queue. If they try to keep it at even lower than max and utilize the virtual queue I can see it working quite well indefinitely.
It depends how many people show up to be first in. That may be when crowds show up. Then again, it also depends on how many locals are willing to buy the signature APs or a single day park ticket. The S. CA and deluxe APs are blacked out at DL until the end of August so without upgrading or buying a regular park ticket I assume many locals will be waiting until the blackout is over. That should help level out crowds. No matter what I don’t think any of us will see the land as empty as it was in the media preview videos any time soon, but I agree it seems like the system they have in place with the virtual queue could work well and keep people from waiting 2-3 hours in line.
I am not sure there is much interactivity there either; do we know yet if pilots can move at any time, and decide by how much? Or is it the equivalent of quick time events from a video game? That video Disney released shows the pilots just yanking those levers all the way in either direction. I want Disney to do great things, but have people seen most of what they have created as of late?
Let me clarify because I think you misunderstood. I did point out you DO see the Falcon fly behind Hondo, my problem with it is that that is not enough story wise to sell the fact the falcon moved from the front. Again, who is flying it to the area that we are at? Not Chewie because seconds later he shows up on screen working in another area. Don't tell me "autopilot" when we have never seen a auto pilot mode on the Falcon in any of the films. sure when its in hyperspace it is more on cruise control but as soon as it is out of hyperspace Han always takes control. We need to see it leave the front of the exterior queue building and show the full landing and see the jetways clamp on to the docking ports. They half heartedly sold the effect. Also when you are ready to "board" the Falcon from the jetway you can see the other Falcon's hallways. so on the right and left you have 2 different Falcons you can walk onto. Ruins the immersion right there. I hope that clarifys my issue.

Yeah but those are modifcations Han has added to the falcon in case of a emergency like at the Hoth base, and they are not very powerful blasters. more like quick machine guns to buy some time until you can get yourself out of danger which is EXACTLY how Han uses them. The main defense canons for the Falcon for protection have never been fired from the cockpitt but always from the canon room a few doors down.
I didn't have to see the full Emoji movie the way it was meant to be experienced on the big screen in person to be able to tell it was god awful when the trailer itself did that just fine which i watched on you tube. all these you tube reviews and clips are just pieces of the puzzle and when you add them together you can clearly form a educated opinion on how the ride and land are. being there in person just means you get to suffer in person.
