Lol. This is just silly. I understand that taking data and making an educated guess is difficult for some people. But what about when we have critical reviews from Disney loving sites from people who HAVE been on the Falcon confirm some of those negative opinions? Is that a coincidence?

I wish they knocked it out of the park. I really do. I just think they missed. They banked too much on peoples love for the Falcon/ Star Wars lore and very weak interactivity outside of the pilot positions instead of focusing on making it a great attraction first and bonafide hit across the board.
THIS. There is not one bad seat on Indiana Jones. Everyone no matter where seated has the same great experience while being able to focus on the show.

The ramp would have to be one foot for a every inch in rise to be ADA compliant. So giving that ramp the benefit of the doubt based on Harrison Ford's 6'1" height, that ramp needs to be 48' long minimum.

So you say that ADA can use some other access? The ramp would have to be pointed at about a 45 degree angle or you'd have to raise the falcon 3-4 feet easy and that would make it look stupid. Yes, I'd skip the ramp if I was Disney and this is a case of what works in a movie doesn't work in real life.
They already made the chess room bigger than it was in any of the prior films so the scale is already off compared to the Falcon at queue exterior and fans are "omg i cried when i entered the chess room it is just like the movies" and are ok with it. If they could do that and get away with it even though the size is off from the outside Falcon then they could have designed a ramp that would have worked and fans would have cried even harder walking up such a iconic part of the ship. So your excuse does not hold water.

Do you think they didn't include the ramp just to spite you? I get people wanted to to up the ramp but this is becoming a bit obsessive now. Unfortunately its not there, people will make do has I haven't seen a single review even mentioning it. Hopefully in time so will you.

The ride does not seem to be that interactive to be honest. Hondo tells everyone to go to light speed at the same moment in every ride pov I have watched. I bet the if the pilot never hits the lever for hyperspace the ship would still go to hyperspace right on queue. the "interactive part" is very much like a video game as in all it does is rank up or make you lose points. you hitting buttons or pulling levers does not give you full control of the simulator. it is very much self programmed like star tours. so you really are not flying the falcon at all. there are simulators out there at malls and such where you are in full control of the entire thing which I think many people are under the impression they will be with this ride and it is simply not true. if none of the positions hit any buttons the ride would work just fine. kinda lame.

I just watched the dedication ceremony on YouTube and I thought it was really well done in spite of a a couple awkward moments and timing issues. I’ll admit I even got goosebumps a couple of times. Seeing the old gang walk up the ramp to the different brilliant John Williams scores was really cool. Star Wars really is a wonderful piece of Americana.

I am just saying it could have been done in response to the fellow poster who said it could not be done if Disney wanted to. Not walking up the Falcon ramp is a major missed opportunity.

They spent a billion dollars and 7 years to create this land putting as much thought, detail and story in it as possible. If there is no ramp, then maybe its because they decided it just wasn't a good idea to do it. I get you're disappointed, but there it is. Honestly. Disney isn't try to destroy your childhood over it. At some point, you have to just let go.

That’s the Galaxy’s Edge Symphonic Suite created by John Williams for this land. You can download it on iTunes. I thought it was OK at first but as I listen to it more and more I enjoy it thoroughly. It really stands on its own- a good mix of Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and his work on the Olympics.

I’m just glad someone liked something- this forum has gone into meltdown. I’m going to get carpal tunnel from hitting ignore so many times.

Oh really? I instantly loved it.

They may not be trying to destroy my childhood but they have majorly let down my adulthood

It is a shame that they (seemingly) opended with only the weaker of the two attractions, but MF still seems to be a solid experience from what I’ve seen so far. Not worth 3 hours in line (nothing in any Disney Park is IMO), but something I’m willing to wait more than 30 minutes for, maybe even an hour at most.

I honestly won't be surprised if the three biggest complaints about Galaxy's Edge aren't the lack of original trilogy characters, not being able to pilot an X-Wing, and the Falcon not being a walkthrough attraction. Beyond just the "Smuggler's Run sucked" and "the line for my booze was too long!" complaints, of course.

I think Disney’s heads have gotten so big, they can’t imagine a person alive who isn’t dying to experience any one of their IPs in person. Yes, there are millions of Star Wars fans, but even with the millions of fans out there, the vast majority don’t really care all that much if at all. If the thing ends up being not fun, it’s a failure in my opinion.

Welcome back!! I agree... especially after the WOW factor of all of the Queue Elements begins to fade.

It's impossible for any ride to please everyone. Believe it or not, there are people I know who shrug off Space Mountain, and others I know who just aren't into Pirates. I've personally been on Radiator Springs Racers once and haven't felt an overwhelming need to go again in several trips to DCA since then. It's a fine ride, but has never been a priority return for me.

Plenty of people are gonna enjoy the hell out of Smuggler's Run. Perhaps even more people will enjoy Rise of the Resistance. Those that don't like one/either will surely spend their time elsewhere in the park on the rides they do enjoy, and perhaps those lines will even be shorter for them while the weirdos who like SW:GE and its attractions stay in that part of the park instead of in your line for Splash Mountain or Mr. Toad. YMMV, and all that.

I didn't have to see the full Emoji movie the way it was meant to be experienced on the big screen in person to be able to tell it was god awful when the trailer itself did that just fine which i watched on you tube. all these you tube reviews and clips are just pieces of the puzzle and when you add them together you can clearly form a educated opinion on how the ride and land are. being there in person just means you get to suffer in person.

I’m not knocking you btw. I have concerns too about a few things, but I’m not going to complain about it until I’ve actually been myself.

Although I can tell you’re a huge fan who really wants it to be everything they hoped and dreamed. Which is awesome.

Are you planning on visiting the DL one, or waiting for Florida?

In my opinion, so far, nothing's beat FOP, and I'm skeptical that MFSR will be better than my experience on FOP. But everyone has different tastes and it's a good thing, otherwise our world would be pretty boring.

Honestly, it's hard for me to compare the two. FoP is so spectacular--they just executed it so well. I have a suspicion that RotR will have a queue that meets or surpasses the level of the FoP queue. I liked the MF:SR queue a lot, but in a different way. The rides are very different, as well. I'll be interested to hear your take after you have ridden it.
