Does anyone think SWGE will get holiday décor? W basically every single land decorated heavily in DL, it would seem a missed opportunity to not show how the residents of Batuu celebrate the holidays... what traditions they have, what foods they eat... etc.

There’s a lot of missed opportunities at Galaxy’s Edge.

A holiday overlay won’t be one of them.

I would be fine with them jack skeleton and co out of the mansion and move them to Glalaxy's Edge for Smuggler's Run Holiday where jack and crew take over the falcon

I personally celebrate Life Day every November 17th.

I hope to go to Star Wars Land on that Sunday this year and partake in all the festivities... if they do not have wookies wearing red robes, holding glowing orbs, and walking into the sun... Disney will be dead to me.

Columbus Day Weekend has brought huge crowds to Disneyland again. This is always one of the busiest holiday weekends of the year. I just posted these Sunday late afternoon wait times in another thread, but there's some interesting data here.

Splash Mountain, Grizzly River Run, Submarines, Star Tours - 25 Minutes
Autopia, Jungle Cruise, Little Mermaid, Chase A Baby! - 30 Minutes
Millennium Falcon: Target Run, Monsters Inc., Pirates of the Caribbean, Buzz Lightyear - 45 Minutes
Goofy's Sky School, Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween, Mater's Junkyard JamBOOree - 50 Minutes
Indiana Jones Adventure, Midway Mania, Thunder Mountain - 60 Minutes
Haunted Mansion Holiday, Hyperspace Mountain, Matterhorn - 90 Minutes
Guardians of the Galaxy Monsters After Dark! - 130 Minutes
Radiator Springs Racers - 150 Minutes

The same 45 minute wait time for Pirates and Falcon is notable. Neither have Fastpass. Falcon has an hourly capacity of about 1,600 riders per hour and Pirates has an hourly capacity of about 2,800 riders per hour. Pirates is 52 years old with no recent marketing and Falcon is four months old with recent mass marketing and national advertising. And yet based on wait times and hourly capacity the Falcon ride is pulling only about 60% of the demand/interest as Pirates is.

I would think that has some folks in Burbank worried, no matter how many times Mr. Chapek repeats his talking points about how thrilled everyone is with how fabulously successful Star Wars Land is.

The data is pretty clear here.

It’s the 38 inch height requirement TP. It’s all the babies - 2 year olds that want to ride Falcon but can’t. 😉

To be fair though Falcon has been averaging 30-45 minutes for a while and POTC has been hovering at about 15-30. Not that that’s saying much considering hourly capacity and the fact that Falcon is brand new.

According to the data, Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain should remain permanently altered as they're obviously more popular with overlays. Also according to the data, Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the top attractions at DLR with more than twice the wait time for the Millennial Falcon. Those numbers don't lie.

MF needs a holiday overlay. Search for Santa’s gifts.

New Bites and 60-Day Advanced Reservations Coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort
by Alex Dunlap, Food & Beverage Communications Coordinator

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort is about to get a whole lot tastier this week! We’ve got an intergalactic shipment of several new menu items flying into the Black Spire Outpost this week, and you won’t want to miss them. But first, I have some exciting news regarding our bookable Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge experiences.

Starting on Oct. 21, to make your trip planning easier and give you more flexibility, Oga’s Cantina (as well as Savi’s Workshop and Droid Depot) will begin offering advance reservations up to 60 days in advance, following the 60-day reservation process currently offered for restaurants and experiences requiring reservations throughout the Disneyland Resort. Each of these experiences makes for an unforgettable visit to the planet of Batuu. Whether you’re making your own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop, building your very own custom astromech droid unit at Droid Depot, or sipping on a delicious concoction with DJ R-3X at Oga’s Cantina, you’re sure to have blast. These popular experiences book up quickly, so be sure to check out the Disneyland Resort website or the Disneyland app to make your reservations today!

Now, on to the FOOD! There are five new items located throughout the land that you just have to try, all available starting on Oct. 16. Here are all the juicy details:
Happabore Sampler from Oga’s Cantina at Disneyland Park

At Oga’s Cantina, a new charcuterie plate will join the menu: the Happabore Sampler featuring a selection of cured meats, artisan cheeses, pickled and preserved rations, and crackers. It’s the perfect shareable bite to munch on while you sip on the many delicious concoctions Oga has to offer.
Kid’s Garden Patty Bun from Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo at Disneyland Park

If you’re picking up a shipment at Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo, you’ll definitely want to try the new Garden Patty Bun! This new kid’s meal features a bao bun, roasted carrots, house sauce, and an orange.
Ronto-less Garden Wrap and Kyryll Pork Rinds from Ronto Roasters at Disneyland Park

Speaking of plant-based, there’s a new Ronto-less Garden Wrap coming to Ronto Roasters featuring plant-based sausage, spicy kimchi slaw, sweet pickled cucumber, and Gochujang spread all wrapped in pita. Also being added to the Ronto Roaster menu is Kyryll Pork Rinds with cinnamon-sugar served in a MSE-6 Series Repair Droid souvenir vessel.
Chocolate Popcorn from Kat Saka’s Kettle at Disneyland Park

Finally, right next door at Kat Saka’s Kettle, you’ll soon be able to snack on chocolate popcorn with Crait Red Salt (this salt comes from Crait, the now-uninhabited red mineral world dusted by a layer of white salt which reflects the planet’s sunlight. Once a Rebel Alliance outpost, the planet has now become a safe haven for the fleeing Resistance forces).

All five of these new items are exclusive to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort and will be available beginning Oct. 16. And don’t forget, you can skip the line and order in advance with mobile ordering on the Disneyland app.* Mobile ordering is available for Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo, Ronto Roasters, and the Milk Stand.

To learn more about all of the food and beverage offerings throughout the Black Spire Outpost, check out our Foodie Guide to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the Disneyland Resort website, or the Disneyland app. Happy snacking, travelers!

So now If I wana build a $100.00 dollar droid I need a reservation instead of walking in and waiting my turn like before?
