The CDC is only concerned about actual ocean-going vessels. Land-based venues are fine. Casinos, sports stadiums, airplanes, Walmart, etc., all good.
True statement, BUT in the case of the Galactic Star Cruiser it is unique. 300+ people in an enclosed (though filtered and temperature controlled) atmosphere, in close proximity and interacting continuously with each other for approximately 2 (two) days which exceeds the exposure time frames for the venues you refer to. So yeah, it's something to think about.

Setting aside the latest CDC Cruise guidance let's talk Disney. The current Disney policy for "masks" up front and I quote "Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) in all indoor locations, regardless of vaccination status. This includes upon entering and throughout all indoor attractions and indoor queues and in Disney buses, monorail and Disney Skyliner, regardless of vaccination status. Face coverings are optional for Guests in outdoor areas." The Galactic Star Cruiser definitely falls under the category of "indoor attractions" with only a little over 60+ days to the maiden voyage at the very least Disney's own policies will impact The Galactic Star Cruiser experience. The Disney Chief Medical Officer has been quite silent for quite a while.

Everyone gets a Star Wars mask upon entering. The mask rule will probably be in place when the first "flight" goes off.

I hear 100+ a month and expensive install/setup....
Rural America don't spend like that
No way I'd spend that, it's the cost of our current internet and TV combined, install is DIY, I can't imagine what the price for a tech would be. With starlink being in beta testing, they note speeds may not be as high as stated and drops in availability are possible. It's not even available here.

If they want to charge as if this is a cruise experience, then it should be treated as such. Arguably true cruises would be less conducive to COVID transmission, as much of my time on real cruises involves outdoor, fresh air seating.

Hard to sort out who wants this to succeed yet see... questionable stuff and then who just wants to this to fail bevause they are fed up with Disney leadership. For its ambition, I want this to succeed (I'll never afford it).
I've made no bones about my desire for this to fail and fail spectacularly. Overpriced, less than impressive product, and I don't care for most of the "Disney Star Wars" output.

I would fall into the category of those that could never afford it but thinks the concept is sound and wants the ‘idea’ to succeed.

From what we’ve seen, my concern is that this particular implementation appears to have made some flawed assumptions about guest experience leading to being stuck with a bad design (both physical plant and in story / structure of the experience). There are always missed opportunities in any project, but some of the choices made in this one have been head-scratchers for sure. I might be very wrong about it, and the sum of the parts might well turn out to be successful even if the parts themselves seem lacking at the moment. So much will rest with the cast being able to sell this.

If the CM's composing the Halcyon crew & various characters pull this off, they should receive academy awards and hefty bonuses.
