No. It's not "Star Wars immersive", IMO, it's "generic space immersive", and while that seems like it could be fun, the way they're presenting everything, and the cheaping out on everything (especially the way the lightsaber training and bridge look), it's "kiddie-time" fun...not adult LARP-ish fun. I'd MAYBE pay $600 including food to throw a kids' birthday party there for a few hours...because that's what this is beginning to feel like...the kind of place you'd rent for a kids' birthday party.
The known prices for 3 adults included so far: HS single day ticket in June $417, the equivalent of two nights of dining plan $324, a special magicband $45, valet parking $66. Even at 3k it's still over $1000/night for the room.
Also looks like the Sabacc gaming will cost extra if they are referring to "credits" as upcharge in the Sublight Lounge.
And will people have to use their own built droids for the Droid tournament?
Seems like there will be upcharges people aren’t aware of yet.

Some have sugggested someone that looked like a real alien. Maybe Lt. Beck? Logistically, people are concerned about the long-term viability of dressing someone as a member of the Blue Man group. Is that make-up hard on the actor? Wouldn't have been cool to have one of the gilled aliens from The Mandalorian?
From a 10 year vet of BMG

JB: It take about 40 minutes to apply the makeup, and that’s with one person helping out. Your skin gets used to the makeup; it’s the bald cap that’s more of a problem. You have to glue it on, so taking it on and off is definitely more of a problem.
Don't forget, the captain will be available for the captain's table dinner. This has to be a character that can be "on stage" for a long time.
Unless he gets called away after a few minutes to attend to urgent business on the bridge.......

WDW needs to shut down the current LARP concept and turn it into Star Wars themed hotel/casino. Turn a couple of rooms into high roller tables with bottle service.
We would still be the bad guys in the Galaxy haha, the rebels should invade the Starcruiser rather than the First order lmao

Brayden tore this experience a new one, even comparing it to the NBA experience lmao lolololol :chase

Do you know many blue skinned people? She doesn't look like an alien from Star Wars?

Right. I would expect a bunch of characters of more exotic looking alien species on board. Some with prosthetics or with masks/costumes. Also, maybe some AAs or other figures and ones appearing on video screens. Absolutely.

But this is the captain of the ship who would presumably be around guests for long periods including the captain's table. Maybe it an alien species - as opposed to a human - is a good touch but it needs to be something that can look convincing close up and be tolerable for the actor for long periods of time. I don't think you could pull off a Mon Calamari or such all that well for that purpose.

Doing something like Lt. Bek would work better as a high level crew member who is on video screens or off in the distance on the bridge. I do hope they have some such characters certainly, just not that they would be ideal for this particular role.

That reminds me... I wonder if there's a "front desk" for the ship for customer complaints :D (I paid for an hour with the captain and she left after 10 minutes to fight off some first order troopers... I want my money back!)
That would fall under the duties of the ship's Purser. Is there a character designated as the ship's Purser?

Well, there's a cruise director if this link is accurate. I just found the link and it seems interesting, at least it includes some droids as regular crew members.

Also, so First Order stormtroopers are going to be stationed on the vessel?

The captain will be discussing some of her past adventures and telling stories during dinner. It probably helps to be able to hear her clearly, as opposed to being 4 feet away from someone in a costume mask for an hour.

In what way does she not "look believable as a captain of a starship"? That she's female? That she's Pantoran?

What exactly is missing that would make her look "cool and capable" from a still shot photo?
Personally I'd have expected the normal epaulets like a cruise crew.

Aerials show trees on a berm. But even without that, from the ground the "coffin" sticks out over the port-cochere and you never see the back end of the "coffin" to see it look like a coffin, unless you can fly.

But, don't let facts keep you from stirring up coffin-gate.

Look, I can't say much at the moment, but I can say it's not nearly as hidden as you think it is or as it was intended to be.

Star Trek: the experience at the Vegas Hilton in the late 90’s
That whole experience was done right. The queue area was so well done announcements were made telling people it wasn't really a line. Walk to the front.
I'd amend your statement to say that Disney demands that you like the New Coke, and while Classic Coke may be available, you have to work to find it.
All the blind taste tests showed customers preferred the taste of new coke. Coke changed the name but then, supposedly, tweaked the formula over a few years.
Certainly better.
They should have lead with a video like this months ago.
The disclaimer at the end that they're not responsible for things that may go wrong lends a sense of fun.
The bad:
Aside from that, they just hint of a card game, and a chance to get a drink.
And that Kathleen Kennedy character as captain.
That's such a terrible decision to stand at the helm of a ship.
Why? Initial sales are great. Sold out for months. Appears like Disney is finding new guests to take the place of those who cancel.

What WAS intended to be in the hotel? Was this really the final version that the brass wanted, or did money get pulled halfway through, they ran out of time, the designer fell over dead, Jabba threatened them, what?

Initial sales are meaningless.
It's what happens a year or so from now when the real word gets out.
Truth of the matter is - and as I've said before - I hope I'm wrong.
I hope this is amazing.
I'm admittedly caught up with laughing at it right now, because it keeps delivering the material to do so.

"Original" Coke was reintroduced less than 3 months after New Coke debuted. New Coke failed and failed quickly. But that's a discussion for a different day in a different thread. :)

I have little doubt that this thing will be fairly well booked for the first 6 months. Let's see how the second 6 months go, and the second full year. I'm guessing that rooms will be readily available before the first year is done.
Even if it's bad, it can stay booked for a few years.
At just 100 rooms, it shouldn't be hard to fill for some time.
