Does anyone else get horror vibes from the video? Like the alien from Alien is going to show up or a rouge AI is going to take over the starcruiser?
:D Even worse. I feel like I am transported to the events in the Clone Wars. I am on some budget star cruise and the inept Jedi with their holier than thou attitude will somehow while they are chasing Darth maul/Count Dooku/General Grevious or whomever and cause mayhem enough that the Halycon is about to go down in flames.

Ok - so I'm reading elsewhere that this video is being emailed (sent) to people who booked stays (cruises? :p )
That makes even less sense as to why there's so much static in the video.
and now I'm getting Total Recall vibes...
“- Bob McClane: What is it that is exactly the same about every single vacation you have ever taken?
- Douglas Quaid: I give up.
- Bob McClane: You! You're the same. No matter where you go, there you are. It's always the same old you. Let me suggest that you take a vacation from yourself. I know it sounds wild. It is the latest thing in travel....”

If we restrict characters to “alien species with a prominent role in the OT” then we’d have what? Jawas, Wookiee, Ewoks, Hutts and Mon Calamari? Even adding in anyone with speaking parts, you’d also get Rodians and Tri’leks. Oh and I guess Sullustan.

Really not much and most of them couldn’t be played very effectively in live action for long periods. I mean it would need to be costuming and makeup that can be done in a reasonable amount of time given this is going to “sail” every day.

Maybe Tusken Raiders, but I think you've covered the prominent OT characters. If you open it up to the Clone Wars you can add a whole host of alien species including Dathomirians and Kel Dor. Dathomirians would be cool.

Now that you mention Ithorians can I ask if anyone knows why Disney has not bought the rights to KOTOR. What other Star Wars story comes closer to Episode V? What other SW story has the epic twist. But I digress. Your point is well taken. I think the problem with SW is there are movies, tv shows, videogames, books, and comics. I have seen all the movies/tv shows/played most videogames/some books that are no longer canon and zero comics. Do I understand more than most? Yes. Do I know all, not even close. But those who only have seen the movies are missing a significant amount of SW lore.

I'm pretty sure Disney owns the rights to Knights of the Old Republic along with everything else.

Man, you’d think a Starcruiser would have a better transmitter so their welcome transmission wouldn’t have so much static. Maybe there’s a story element where you adjust the antenna?

Captain: “No, no, a little more to the left. Did you cover it with our galactic foil?”
When does Star Wars ever do clean, clear, in focus transmission of video? I'm sure there's an example or two somewhere, but it's usually holograms that are very soft focus, or crackly screens.

I would’ve thought rebel and empire broadcasts would be a little ramshackle compared to a private enterprise in-universe.

That said, that didn’t look like the usual “Star Wars” crackley transmission, so that’s why it stood out.

(I’m also taking the mick a bit and not being too serious.)

Or they can do a mirialan and someone can accuse them of not being a Star Wars character.

It does seem like the creators of Galaxy's Edge/Starcruiser are going out of their way to feature characters/aliens that AREN'T in the films, or barely featured at all if they are in the films....ironic since the timeframe is the third FILM trilogy timeframe which doesn't have much other media surrounding it.

I'm not certain how anyone can think this.

GE has Chewie, Kylo Ren, and Rey as walk-around characters. Finn, Poe, Rey, BB-8, and Nien Nunb are in RotR. Hondo Ohnaka (CW and Rebels character) and Chewbacca are in MFSR.

We know of what? 2 character in GS? The twi'lek singer (a species from the films) and a Pantoran captain (George Lucas actually played one in RotS) and Chewbacca was mentioned as being onboard too.

Unreal.

WDW needs to shut down the current LARP concept and turn it into Star Wars themed hotel/casino. Turn a couple of rooms into high roller tables with bottle service.I

To add: And a pool.
infinite pool with space projections from below.

Star Trek: the experience at the Vegas Hilton in the late 90’s
The costumes look great.. funny how a 90's HOTEL thing looks better than top of the line Disney XD
